BELGRADE The final position of the ruling SNS party on early elections will be known when the authorities finish their investigation into the Saric case. This was heard from the party's official and speaker of the Serbian parliament, Nebojsa Stefanovic. "Decision on elections after Saric case investigation" "It has to be determined which of the allegations are the truth and which media speculations. This is why we will wait, because we do not want to support or protect anyone. We will not be ready to cooperate with those who are guilty before the law, if this is proved," Stefanovic told the daily Vecernje Novosti. Asked if the SNS will leave the government if it proves that some of Prime Minister Ivica Dacic's associates were in contact with drug lord Darko Saric's gang, he said he expects the state authorities, which are fully supported by the SNS, to finish their job and announce the results of the investigation and what legal actions will be taken. "We will wait, but not indefinitely. If someone took part in committing criminal offenses, he has to be prosecuted. The SNS joined the government for the sake of reforms and the fight against corruption," Stefanovic. (Beta, file) Tanjug Vecernje novosti
