Pristina-based Albanian language daily Zeri has reported that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue could most likely continue on January 23. Quoting unnamed top EU officials, the daily writes that talks with representatives of both sides are underway in order to set a date for the continuation of the talks and topics that will be discussed. Daily: Dialogue could continue Jan. 23 According to the sources, the Belgrade and Pristina teams will in the next round of talks discuss Kosovo’s participation at regional and international meetings. Serbia requests that Kosovo be represented under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 at the international meetings, but Kosovo categorically refuses. Belgrade and Pristina representatives have announced that they will also discuss energy and telecommunications at the next meeting. Belgrade team chief Borislav Stefanovic told reporters that the energy and telecommunication issues could only be discussed if Pristina accepted to take part in the regional meetings in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
