SNS meets with United Russia officials

Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic met with a delegation of the United Russia party to discuss the political situation in Serbia. Chairman of the State Duma International Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachev headed the ruling Russian party delegation. Kosachev and Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov gave SNS a letter, according to the Serbian opposition party. SNS meets with United Russia officials Along with congratulating SNS on the first year of its existence, Gryzlov said that SNS “has grown into a political force that is ready to solve political and social problems in Serbia.” “Russia and Serbia are friends historically and I expect that our cooperation for solving many question will be successful and that this will strengthen the brotherly relations between our people,” Gryzlov said in the letter. Nikolic said that the talks with Kosachev were good, adding that special attention was paid to cooperation with the leading Russian party and that this cooperation would be in the best interest of both nations. He confirmed that SNS would be signing an “agreement for full cooperation” with United Russia in May.
