President of the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence NGO Sonja Liht was recently named the most power woman in Serbia by daily Blic. This came due to the fact that she holds a number of public offices, including the most recent appointment as head of the MFA Foreign Policy Council. "Most powerful woman” reacts to criticism In addition, Liht presides over the managing board of Politika Newspapers and Magazines and is a member of the Council for European Integrations. Answering criticism that this amounts to "too many public offices", Liht said that none of them are paid positions. At the same time, she revealed that she is mulling filing a lawsuit against Vreme weekly reporter Ljubomir Zivkov "because of a campaign he has launched against her". Zivkov recently wrote in a satirical piece that Liht held "eleven different positions". Liht stated that she plans to continue as she is able to meet all of the obligations, adding that those are not on a daily basis. “The Foreign Policy Council and the Council for European Integrations meet rarely. These are positions of great responsibility, but they do not represent a burden of everyday work, in order for people with experience and understanding to really help formulate the strategic goals in these fields." "It's not a day job, and I am convinced that I will be able to do all these jobs, and when I am no longer able, I will no longer be doing them,” Liht concluded.
