Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic will meet with MP groups next week to discuss a new Kosovo resolution. “We will try to reach a united stance, a common solution for the resolution which will be accepted by the opposition and the ruling parties,” Bogdanovic said yesterday. Minister for Kosovo urges unity over resolution Bogdanovic said that the withdrawal of a previous draft last week does not mean that Serbia’s policy towards Kosovo was brought into question, because “the government will continue the principled policies for preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country”. He said that the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) with the European Union “gives hope and a chance to continue fighting for the preservation of Kosovo within Serbia’s borders,” adding that this is "guaranteed by Article 7 of the SAA, which was initialed on November 7, 2007”. Speaking about the Kosovo security forces, Bogdanovic said that their formation represents a problem or all of the Western Balkans. “That aspect of security is very risky for the entire Western Balkans, the formation of such a military can only damage relations between Serbs and Albanians, and create even more distrust than already exists,” Bogdanovic said, adding that this army would be unacceptable to the Kosovo Serb community, who would not participate in it.
