Macedonia claims demarcation of its border in the area next to Kosovo in no way breaches the 2001 demarcation agreement. “We have no objections to Belgrade being involved in the demarcation process should the Serbian authorities reach an agreement with UNMIK and the Kosovo authorities,“ stressed the Macedonian foreign minister in response to the protest note from Belgrade concerning the demarcation. Demarcation began in Serupa on Sar mountain next to the Albanian border, at an altitude of some 2,100 meters. The demarcation process is expected to be complete by the end of summer.
