The 67th Rose-Roth seminar will take place in Belgrade between Oct. 25 and 27, Beta reported. The gathering is organized by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in and the Serbian Parliament. NATO parliamentary assembly seminar in Belgrade The main topic is "Serbia and Europe: Challenges and Integrations," and some 140 representatives of 20 member and affiliate countries of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly are expected to attend. According to a news release from the parliament, the seminar will host debates on Kosovo, the Hague tribunal, West Balkans and Europe, and the defense reform in Serbia. Two topics will be devoted to Kosovo at the seminar, "Kosovo: Toward Defining Final Status" and "Kosovo: Is a Multi-ethnic Society Possible." Hague tribunal chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte and the national coordinator for cooperation with the tribunal, Rasim Ljajic, are to tackle the topic "The Hague Tribunal and the Legacy of the Past." Judy Batt of the European Institute of Security Studies will address the topic "The West Balkans and Europe - Stability Through Integrations," while the head of the NATO Euro-Atlantic integrations and partnership directorate, Yaroslaw Skonechka, will talk about Serbia and NATO's Partnership for Peace program. A NATO official in charge of unit planning will talk about NATO's role in implementing the defense reform, which will also be addressed by Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac and Serbian Army chief of staff Lt. Gen. Zdravko Ponos. The event will be opened by Deputy Speaker Miloljub Albijanic, NATO Parliamentary Assembly President Jose Lelo and Norwegian ambassador to NATO Kai Eide.
