A Belgrade-based entrepreneur ranks number two in the list of the top ten Serbian millionaires with an income of EUR 183,000 per month, while another economist reported EUR 160,000, and is at number three.Serbia lags behind the rest of the world in many sectors, the daily says, however, top salaries do not seem to be among them. U.S. president George Bush and first lady Laura Bush reported an income of US$ 765,801 in 2006 – barely sufficient to secure them the number ten spot in the Serbian list of millionaires.
Meanwhile, Serbia’s average salaries stand at EUR 356. Workers employed in the country’s struggling textile industry last year reported the lowest wages, at just EUR 86 per month.
