This was confirmed by Kosovo police regional spokesman Besim Hoti. Satorica near the village of Borcani. The site is located between the municipalities of Leposavic, Kursumlija and Podujevo in northern Kosovo. The unidentified persons - who, according to reports earlier this week, were caught stealing timber - "opened fire in the direction of the Kosovo police and EULEX, representatives of UNMIK and Kosovo Forest Agency". No one was injured during the accident. The suspect was placed in a 48-hour detention, he will face serious criminal charges, including attack on official authorities, putting the international personnel at risk, possession of arms, and timber theft, Hoti said.
