Šešelj’s trial for contempt of court to start in June

Serbian Radical Party (SRS) leader Vojislav Seselj will go on trial for contempt of court on June 6. The Hague Tribunal charged him with contempt of court after he revealed the names of protected witnesses. Seselj’s trial for contempt of court to start in June Head of Seselj’s defense team Zoran Krasic says that the witnesses themselves should say whether the SRS leader violated the rules and whether he was the first to reveal their names. Krasic has criticized the Hague Tribunal, pointing out that it is out of control and that it has so far failed to respect some international standards. The Hague Tribunal sentenced Seselj to 15 months in prison for contempt of court in July 2009. The SRS leader now faces the same charges for revealing the names of 11 protected witnesses.
