Police arrest six escaped inmates

Serbian police (MUP) officers have tracked down and arrested six of the eight runaway convicts Thursday. The group escaped from the Pancevo prison early Wednesday. Although earlier reports indicated that the eight inmates who broke out of prison were incarcerated for serious crimes which include armed robbery and murder, police today deny making any such statements to journalists. The MUP officers continue their operation aimed at locating and arresting the remaining two prisoners.
