EBRD expects Serbian economy to grow 0.5 percent

Strong demand from abroad and low oil prices managed to offset the short-term negative effects of fiscal consolidation carried out under the IMF program, the EBRD said in a release delivered to Tanjug.

In 2016, Serbia's economic growth will speed up and stand at 1.8 percent thanks to strengthening EU economies and domestic investment growth.

However, the high level of non-performing loans will be solved gradually, and the scope of lending will remain modest, reads the EBRD forecast.
