A consignment of 200 luxury and 4,000 standard CZ 99 pistols has been shipped to Iraq from the Zastava Weapons factory. The weapons have been specially made for Iraqi officials, namely the president and the prime Minister, as gifts to international officials and Iraqi officers. The plan is for weapons wrapped in red scarves to be given by the president to guests or associates, while pistols wrapped in blue scarves will be presented by the prime minister. These are special CZ 99 pistols whose marking is specially engraved. The gun’s handle has an inscription in Arabic—“Gift from the President” or “Gift from the Prime Minister”. The entire deal is worth USD 5mn. The company sees it as a sort of an advertising, because CZ 99s will be in the hands of world leaders. The CZ 99 is a 9mm, noted for its precision, both left and right handed people can use it, and it is made out of top quality material.
