The Privatization Agency has confirmed it received three offers in the tender to sell the Genex property in Belgrade. One foreign consortium and two mixed Serbian-foreign companies will take part in the bidding, the agency specified in a statement this afternoon. Genex Belgrade property gets three offers The consortiums are Dutch IHG Management, Belgrade-based NBGP Properties, and Starwood Hotel Management, teamed up with Greek Lampsa. The property consists of Hotel Continental, former Intercontinental, and Genex Apartments, both in the capital. As for the Genex-owned real estate in Serbia's leading winter resort of Mt. Kopaonik, also put up for sale in the tender, no offers were submitted. Genex is a former state-run import-export giant, plagued by fraud and embezzlement scandals. Genex went into bankruptcy in 2003.
