The Business Register Agency yesterday approved Vlade Divac's registration as owner of the Voda Voda company. The former basketball star is registered as the sole owner of the company, and the Agency has rejected former owner Vojin Djordjevic’s claim that Divac took over the company illegally. Former basketball star purchases Voda Voda Deputy Registrar Ruzica Macukat told the Tanjug news agency that Divac had given the Commission all the proper documentation and that the registration had been legal and proper. “The documentation is an agreement signed and authenticated in court. It was signed by Vojin Djordjevic and Vlade Divac, their signatures were authenticated and on the basis of amendments and supplements to the founding act that Vlade Divac created and authenticated, he is the 100 percent sole owner of Voda Voda,” Macukat said. The Si & Si Group accused Divac of trying to illegal falsify documents and evade state institutions in order to become the owner of Voda Voda. Si & Si Group President Vojin Djordjevic said that he had done business with Divac because of his long-time support for the national basketball team, despite the fact that all Divac's previous business dealings had been marred by scandal. Djordjevic said that as a result, an agreement had been signed between the two that made Divac the 30 percent owner of Voda Voda and Gorki List, but that the agreement had never been authenticated. “However, Divac was able to register himself as the 100 percent owner illegally at his third attempt, even though the Agency had earlier rejected him because he did not have the founding act, which needed to be signed by the president of the Si & Si Group,” Djordjevic said. The Agency stated that the act was not necessary in the registration process.
