Sojaprotein, one of Serbia's most successful food processing companies, has opted for a fresh issue of shares. The managing board of the Becej, Vojvodina, based company has decided to authorize the 7th issue of shares in a public offer, the soybean and sunflower processing plant announced via the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE) website. Sojaprotein: New issue of shares The board opted for an offer of 53,900 new shares with voting rights, with no nominal value, but with a bookkeeping value of RSD 2,318 a piece. The shares will be sold under the issuing price of RSD 20,600, the statement explained. The privileged right of first purchase is reserved for shareholders registered with the Central Securities Depository and Clearing House, proportionate to the number of shares they already own. Sojaprotein [SJPT] stock has been on the slide for the past two weeks, going under the RSD 21,446 (EUR 274.9) mark. Overall turnover for this security was highest on Thursday, when it amounted to RSD 24mn (appr. EUR 310,000), while the beginning of the week saw the turnover of only a few million dinars.
