In a statement, the IRGC said the targets in Jordan were hit by precision missile strikes as part of a retaliatory operation against U.S. military infrastructure in the region, according to Iran's state broadcaster Press TV.
The IRGC's Public Relations Department said earlier today that its Aerospace Force had struck key targets at a U.S. base serving as a critical hub for American forces.
According to the statement, the operation sparked fires that swept through fuel depots and ammunition storage facilities, dealing what the IRGC described as a significant blow to U.S. logistics capabilities and operational readiness in West Asia.
Iran's state news agency Tasnim reported that IRGC forces destroyed a U.S. military command center used to control drone operations in Bahrain.
"The American regime, which has spent little time free from war and military aggression since its founding, has failed to learn the lessons of its recent defeats against the warriors of Islam and continues its aggression. IRGC fighters have destroyed key helicopter repair and maintenance facilities, a hangar housing P-8 electronic warfare aircraft, and the U.S. military's drone command-and-control center at the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain. The retaliatory operation will continue," the statement said.
Iranian media also reported that explosions were heard in Kuwait, where two U.S. bases were reportedly targeted.
"In the third phase of the retaliatory operation in response to the aggression of the arrogant and belligerent American regime, fuel storage tanks and the Patriot air defense system at the U.S. base in Ali Al Salem were completely destroyed, along with the strategic radar system at Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base," the IRGC said in a statement.
