U.S. Embassy issues statement: Stay indoors
The U.S. Embassy in Muscat, the capital of Oman, has issued a stay-at-home warning for the entire country due to “ongoing activities,” without providing further details.
In the security advisory, the embassy urged people in Oman to find a safe place in their home or another building and to “stock up on food, water, medicine, and other essential supplies.”
The embassy also advised citizens to follow news reports for official guidance in case of an attack, CNN reported.
A few days after the start of the U.S.-Israel conflict with Iran, the State Department ordered the embassy’s support staff and their family members to leave Oman, according to the advisory.

Everything is mined?
Underwater mines believed to have been placed by Iran have been discovered in the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, while the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is urging Tehran to allow the free flow of maritime traffic, CBS News reported, citing U.S. officials.
According to current U.S. intelligence estimates, the narrow passage contains at least a dozen mines, identified as Iranian Maham 3 and Maham 7 naval mines, which use magnetic and acoustic sensors to detect targets.
