New message from Iran’s Supreme Leader

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei praised the steadfastness of the Iranian people despite the ongoing war, stating that American and Israeli attacks are based on the illusion that killing top leaders could provoke the overthrow of the government.

Khamenei’s written statement, issued on the occasion of the Persian New Year, Nowruz, was read on Iranian television.

On this occasion, he commended Iranians for “building a national defense front and strongholds across cities, settlements, and mosques, delivering a confounding blow that has left the enemy in contradictions and irrational statements.”

IDF: Key Iranian intelligence commander eliminated

The Israel Defense Forces announced today that it has eliminated a key commander in Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence, Mehdi Rastami Shmastan.

According to the IDF’s post on the social media platform X, Shmastan was also accused of allegedly organizing terrorist activities against Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.

In recent years, he was reportedly responsible for planning and executing terrorist attacks on key Israeli targets, the IDF emphasized.

Israel: Over 2,000 targets hit in Lebanon

Israel’s military said Friday that it had struck over 2,000 targets in Lebanon since Hezbollah joined the Middle East war on Iran’s side.

Lebanon was drawn into the war on March 2 when Tehran-backed Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel to avenge the killing of the Islamic Republic’s supreme leader.

“So far, over 2,000 terror targets have been targeted, including approximately 120 Hezbollah command posts, over 100 weapons storage facilities, and over than 130 missile launchers,” the Israeli military said.

“In addition, over 570 Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated,” the army said.

Israel has mainly struck targets in south Lebanon and suburbs of Beirut that have long been Hezbollah strongholds, issuing evacuation warnings for civilians that Lebanon says have rendered more than a million people displaced.

Israeli troops are also fighting in southern Lebanon in what the army says are “targeted ground operations.”

Lebanon’s health ministry said Thursday that Israeli attacks have killed 1,001 people in the country since the latest war erupted.
