Handover tonight; Hamas has found another hostage body

The armed wing of Hamas, the Qassam Brigades, announced today that they will hand over to Israel the body of one of the deceased hostages that they were able to recover today in Gaza.

The leader of the Qassam Brigades told Al Jazeera that today they found the body of an “occupier prisoner” while searching for the bodies of captives in the Tufa neighborhood of Gaza.

He added that negotiations with the Red Cross are underway regarding the details of transferring the body.

The handover is expected to take place at 6:00 p.m. local time, or 7:00 p.m. Central European Time.

The identity of the hostage to be handed over to Israel has not been released.
