Trump was furious, literally: Tell Xi to tell Putin... PHOTO/VIDEO
US President Donald Trump "opened fire" on the leaders of China, who gathered to watch a massive military parade in Beijing, for "conspiracy against the United States of America".
Chinese leader Xi Jinping hosted a parade to mark the 80th anniversary of World War II, unveiling China's latest high-end weapons - including a laser that experts fear could burn electronics or even blind pilots.
Among Xi's guests were Vladimir Putin and North Korean President Kim Jong Un, who arrived earlier at the historic Tiananmen Gate to watch the parade.
Putin and Kim showed unity with Xi as they followed him to make their way to a viewing platform overlooking Tiananmen Square.
They stopped to shake hands with five World War II veterans, some of whom are over 100 years old.
The summit was billed as an alternative to the US-led global system and was packed with demonstrations of unity between Moscow, Beijing and New Delhi.
Trump reacted sharply to that meeting, and in his post on the social network "Truth Social" on Tuesday evening, he wrote a message to Chinese leader Xi Jinping:
"Please convey my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un as you conspire against the United States of America."
He also asked if Xi would "mention the enormous amount of support and blood that the United States of America has given to China to help it secure its FREEDOM from a very hostile foreign invader."
"Many Americans have died in China's quest for victory and glory. I hope they will be rightly honored and remembered for their courage and sacrifice," the US president continued, with outbursts of anger.
Trump ended the address with a "warm message," writing, "May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration."
