Total collapse due to flooding: Cars float, evacuation ordered; Warning is in effect PHOTO/VIDEO
A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of northwestern Maryland, where heavy rain caused flooding and forced authorities to evacuate two elementary schools.

The most critical was in the areas of Westernport, Luke and Barton, in Allegany County, where up to 13 centimeters of rain fell, and the amount of precipitation reached a speed of 2.5 to five centimeters per hour, writes "ABC News.
Several rescue interventions were recorded, including the evacuation of about 200 students and teachers from the "Westernport Elementary" school, who were transferred by motorboats to a nearby church, local authorities announced.
Students from Georges Creek Elementary School were evacuated to a nearby high school, while students from Westmar Middle School remained in the building and took refuge in a safe place.
Closed roads
Due to the floods, many roads were closed.
There are no injured for now.
Officials urged citizens not to attempt to drive through flooded roads and to avoid affected areas.
More than 15 million people in the Mid-Atlantic region remain under a warning for possible flooding and heavy rainfall.
Warning is in effect
A flood warning is also in effect for parts of eastern and central North Carolina, eastern Virginia, western Virginia, western Maryland and central Pennsylvania, including the cities of Raleigh, Richmond and Hagerstown.
Heavy rainfall and possible severe thunderstorms with hail, strong winds and a few tornadoes are expected, especially in parts of North Carolina and Virginia.
The heaviest rains are expected in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
