Among tourists missing in Nepal is a Serbian citizen: Nepal Tourism Board speaks out
A Serbian citizen is among the foreign tourists reported missing following the catastrophic floods and landslides that struck Nepal on Wednesday, according to the Nepal Tourism Board.
In addition to Serbia, nationals from Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and Sweden are also reported missing.
The largest number of missing foreign nationals are Indian citizens, with 178 people reported missing. They are followed by nationals of the United States, with at least 65 missing, Ukraine with 53, Malaysia with 51, Australia with 35, and the United Kingdom with 33.
Canada has 25 nationals reported missing, while citizens of Singapore, Germany, Russia, South Africa, Latvia, Japan and New Zealand are also among those unaccounted for.
