Edi Rama explained: It is being created, it is not a state, there are no customs, no taxes, no police
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the creation of the Bektashi state has nothing to do with the division of the territory of Albania, but that it is a matter of special support for this community, Euronews Albania reports.
Rama, answering the questions in his column "Eyes to eyes", explained that the creation of the Bektashi state has nothing to do with the fragmentation of the territory of Albania and emphasized that a similar example exists in Italy, where there are three internal structures that do not imply the division of the territory.
Rama emphasized that the Bektashi state will be an entity without customs, taxes and police, but that this is fully in accordance with the Constitution of Albania.
He added that it is not about the division of the Albanian territory and that it is not about the project of creating a new state, but about special support for this community, bearing in mind the historical importance and status that this community has in Albania.
When asked about the judiciary in Albania, Rama stated that from 1912 until the implementation of the judicial reform, this area was not independent, but was under political influence.
In the meantime, according to his words, only one party is fighting for power, referring to the opposition.
"If there was more corruption today, Albania would not be the first in the region, with a difference of points. One thing is certain, there is less corruption today. If there was more corruption today, Albania would not be sitting at the negotiating table with the European Union. Albania has 80 points, and then others spring from public procurement and tenders," said Rama.
