“We strongly condemn this false post, which aims to spread disinformation on social media and mislead the public,” the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.

It added that it was true that, pursuant to an order issued by the Higher Court in Belgrade, a search had been conducted at A.P.’s apartment on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized access to a protected computer, computer network, and electronic data processing, as defined under Article 302 of the Criminal Code.

The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office stressed that A.P. had not been arrested and that no detention order had been issued against him.

“The public will be informed in due course about the outcome of the proceedings in this case,” the statement said.

Lawyer Ivan Ninić posted on X today that members of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP), acting on the orders of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, had “launched an operation to arrest a student from Raška attending the Faculty of Computing (RAF).”
