Serbs turn out to vote in large numbers; CEC: "Voter turnout reached 15.10% by 1 p.m."

Snap elections are being held in Kosovo and Metohija for the Assembly of the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government, after parliament failed to elect the head of the provisional institutions within the deadline set by the Constitutional Court in Priština.

CEC in Priština: Turnout reaches 15.10% by 1 p.m.

Voter turnout by 1:00 p.m. in the elections for the Assembly of the provisional institutions in Priština stood at 15.10%, with the highest turnout continuing to be recorded in Serb-majority municipalities. Turnout in Zvečan reached 34.51%, according to data from the Central Election Commission (CEC) in Priština.

According to figures published by the CEC:

The Assembly of the provisional institutions in Priština has 120 parliamentary seats, of which 10 are guaranteed for Serbian representatives.

Polling stations will remain open until 7:00 p.m.

Large crowds have formed at polling stations in Gračanica, particularly at the voting center located in the King Milutin Elementary School, where citizens are patiently waiting in line to exercise their right to vote.

Employees from healthcare and educational institutions gathered in the center of Gračanica and then organized their departure to polling stations to vote in today’s elections for the Assembly of the provisional institutions in Priština.

Polling stations in Zvečan, Leposavić, and Štrpce opened on time at 7:00 a.m. for the elections for the Assembly of the provisional institutions in Priština.

At the polling station in the Vuk Karadžić Elementary School in Zvečan, there are five polling stations, with 4,097 registered voters.

In Leposavić, voting is organized across 19 polling centers with 26 polling stations.

In the municipality of Štrpce, 10 polling centers with 18 polling stations opened on time, with 12,221 eligible voters, according to TV Most.

At the Staja Marković Elementary School in Štrpce, four polling stations were opened, where 3,335 registered voters can vote. A conditional voting center is located at the “Jovan Cvijić” Secondary School in Štrpce.

Early morning at 7:00 a.m., snap elections for the Assembly of the provisional self-governing institutions began across Kosovo and Metohija (KiM).
