The opening of the hospital is part of the program marking the Day of the Republic of Srpska. Along with Vučić, Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar and Advisor for Regional Affairs Miloš Vučević also attended the visit.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the anthems of the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia were played.

Vučić’s address after the visit

“Thanks to Dodik and all the people here. We have another important investment in Trebinje. We are ready to invest more than 200 million euros in the Trebinje airport. This is of enormous significance for the development of the region and the entire Republic of Srpska. Once again, I want to say that I am happy to be in this magnificent hospital today. And I want to emphasize that we will do everything possible to preserve peace. A big thank you for the love and support from the people of the Republic of Srpska, who are always with Serbia,” Vučić said.
 
At the end, the President wished everyone a happy Tucindan, the day before Christmas Eve, tomorrow’s Christmas Eve, and with the traditional greeting “Christ is born,” he also wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
 

Visit to the Spiritual Center in Mrkonjići

Vučić also visited Mrkonjići today, the birthplace of Saint Vasilije of Tvrdoš and Ostrog, where he toured the spiritual center, partially funded by Serbia.

In Mrkonjići, Vučić was welcomed by Metropolitan Dimitrije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Coast, SNSD President Milorad Dodik, and Trebinje Mayor Mirko Ćurić.

The value of the Spiritual Center construction project is around 2.5 million KM, with the Serbian government providing 800,000 KM, and the remainder funded by the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the city of Trebinje.

 

Arrival in Mostar

Vučić arrived in Mostar this morning, where he was greeted by Željka Cvijanović, the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“I’ve arrived in Mostar, and now heading to Trebinje. Thanks to Željka Cvijanović for the warm welcome!” Vučić wrote on Instagram.
