Vučić today with Rubio in New York; Key meetings in the USA, among the topics being Kosovo's derecognition

Today, President Vučić will meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as announced by the State Department in its statement.

On the eve of his trip to New York, Vucic said that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had requested a meeting with him, and that he believed it was possible to resolve the issue of US tariffs.

The president also announced that he will request a meeting with Scott Bessent, the US finance minister, regarding US sanctions against NIS.

Vučić stated that, among others, he will talk with the President of the European Council Antonio Costa, but also with 22 other presidents and prime ministers of different countries.

He added that some African leaders will be among them, and that good news can be expected soon regarding the withdrawal of the recognition of the independence of the so-called Kosovo.

Also, Vučić stated that the talks in New York are very important and that he expects a lot from them.

President Vučić will also attend the reception organized by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres before the start of the General Assembly, traditionally in honor of heads of delegations.

Vučić will address the UNGA participants on Wednesday, September 24. At the session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, as part of the Serbian delegation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djurić will also participate, who also has a number of bilateral and multilateral meetings with foreign ministers and officials of UN member states.
