Media: Lithuania and Latvia had not given the flyover permission to Vučić on his flight to Moscow
Lithuania and Latvia officially banned the flight of the plane from Serbia to Moscow on May 9, in which the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić was supposed to be, the media write.

Lithuania stated that the reason for the ban was of a technical nature, but also due to "diplomatic sensitivity".
Due to, as they state, "political sensitivity for the purpose of the flight", the Latvian authorities have banned the overflight of the Serbian plane.
Let us remind you that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland announced today that Warsaw allowed the plane with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to fly over its territory on the route to Russia, where he is supposed to attend the Victory Day celebrations.
"Since there were no formal international legal obstacles, the Polish side issued a flight permit through the airspace of the Republic of Poland," the ministry said in a statement.
However, the Polish Ministry expressed a critical attitude towards the participation of the Slovak Prime Minister in the celebration of the end of the Second World War, which was organized by Moscow, the Slovak agency TASR reports.
"It is difficult for us to understand that the leaders of countries that declare themselves as supporters of peace and opponents of the continuation of military operations would decide to accept the invitation of Vladimir Putin, who issued an order to attack a neighboring country, launched unprovoked military actions and thereby caused mass displacement of the population, the suffering and death of thousands of people, civilians and soldiers, as well as the destruction and abduction of civilians, including children," the ministry announced.
Before Warsaw approved the overflight, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said he had not given the flyover permission a second thought because, he said, he was keeping his fingers crossed for Fico's recovery, adding that he believed, however, that supporting Putin's narrative in Moscow was not a good idea.
