Brnabić: Less than 3% of elementary schools in complete suspension of classes; Politics has no place in school
President of the Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, wrote on X that less than three percent of elementary schools in Serbia are in complete suspension of classes.

"In Serbia today, less than 3% of primary schools are in complete suspension of classes. Thank you to the numerous schools that, unlike on Friday, started teaching - in some cases partially and with shortened classes, but still provided children with the opportunity to learn and to hang out.
Today I had the greatest honor of talking to three teachers who never stopped teaching, even though their primary schools are closed. For me, these women are the greatest heroes, absolute heroes and a huge inspiration. That is why I wanted to personally invite them and thank them for their commitment to the work they do, which is certainly one of the most important and responsible in any society.
Politics has no place in schools, especially not in elementary schools. Children need to be in school - and this has nothing to do only with the Constitution and the laws, which stipulate that primary education is mandatory, but above all with common sense, an uncorrupted awareness that there are red lines and sanctuaries in every society that are simply not to be touched. It must be primary schools.
Thank you, once again, to these wonderful women who, by their example, remind us all of what personal integrity, courage and commitment mean. As long as there are such people, reason will prevail and this society will move forward," Brnabić wrote on X.
