Oliver Ivanovic released from house arrest

SDP Civil Initiative leader Oliver Ivanovic has been released from house arrest.

The Serb politician from northern Kosovo will be free pending the outcome of his retrial on charges of war crimes.

Ivanovic will now have to report to a police station in northern Kosovska Mitrovica twice a week.

Ivanovic was placed under house arrest after the Court of Appeals in Pristina overturned the first-instance guilty verdict against him and the nine-year prison sentence, and ordered a retrial.

Out of 14 killed and kidnapped journalists and media workers, Kosovo Prosecution is investigating 7 cases, three are "in the process of hand-over" from EULEX.
