Well, Kosovo under Serbia would not have those things anyway, so I'm not sure what your point is! The options that Kosovo has are NOT paradise vs the current situation of being independent from Serbia.

Yes, whereas today Albanian civilians are cramming 200 of their closest love ones in a 50 person bus to get the hell out of Kosovo-Metohija because of KLA oppression. As far as recognition goes, you were voted down by a number of countries who have previously recognized most recently at UNESCO. Anyway, if you'll take this current arrangement, we'll take it too :)

Recognitions may have been slowing down, Kosovo has been recognized by more than majority on U.N. members. It has been recognized by 23 EU members.

It has been recognized by those Serbia is seeking help from on daily basis, financially and economically. (U.S. & EU)

How are you so sure of that? It's been quite a few years now (nearing 9) since the US-dictated declaration of independence. Still waiting for that UN seat, no? The truth is that this isn't going as smoothly as planned. Kosovo's economy is terrible and the institutions governing your people are riddled with petty thieves out for their own self-interests while the people starve jobless. You should focus more on fixing that situation than begging for more recognitions. I'm curious to see what will happen now that Trump is in power and the Clintons are in a bit of trouble for their corrupt foundations.

Dacic said his main activity at the summit would be bilateral meetings with officials of the countries that do not recognize Kosovo to ensure they maintain this position.

He added that he would also meet with officials of countries that recognize Kosovo as independent "where their position can be reversed."

Serb key board warriors on this site, keep claiming Kosova je Sebia, yet Dacic and other politicians, are spending their mandates to try to prevent new recognition!?

@Dacic, no one is going to reverse its position, only new recognition will come, hahahahaha.

Recognitions have pretty much dried up in the past few years, wouldn't you agree? It seems you have reached your peak, which means you are only partially recognized and have no chance of joining the EU. You are somewhere in between a Northern Cyprus and Palestine. I'll take it for now. It warms my heart how optimistic you are.

@Ari

Recognitions may have been slowing down, Kosovo has been recognized by more than majority on U.N. members. It has been recognized by 23 EU members.

It has been recognized by those Serbia is seeking help from on daily basis, financially and economically. (U.S. & EU)

If you want to throw me a nonsense answer about Russia and Serbia go ahead I'll be laughing as usual.

Think about where was Kosovo 18 years ago?
Under serbian oppression, Albanian civilians murdered simply for being Albanian. No freedom what so ever, ask Albanians, they are far better today than they ever were 18 years ago.
Albanians will definitely take this for now until it gets even better.

Many govt's who are there today do not have active diplomatic relations with Pristina. However Serbia has not yet made any diplomatic push to get them to formally revoke. Anyway, if you'll take this current arrangement, we'll take it too :)

What is the end game for all of this diplomatic activity on Serbia's part? Serbia has not offered a serious or viable alternative to Kosovo's independence, and Kosovo will not crawl back, so what does it realistically expect? Is the whole point to be spiteful and hurt the Kosovars as much as possible just to be petty? It's all very silly.

Serbia has diplomatic missions abroad less than 1/3 of UN member countries.

Therefore, stop talking nonsense about diplomatic relations!?

Not as much as Albanian keyboard warriors on this site and keyboard diplomats in Pristina claiming Kosovo is free, sovereign, and independent, yet needs permission from everyone else to do what it wants, and only after making a number of expensive compromises with Belgrade that takes away a portion of the sovereignty they think they have. Kosovo is dead in the water. It might get one or two more recognitions from nowhere countries, but it has no access to the EU other than a protectorate, and no access to the UN other than a guest invited by a member state.

Yet Albanians still continue to lobby for recognitions they know will not come. Tell me who's the bigger fool in this charade?

Your question is like asking the readers of this forum whether they agree that 1+1=2!

Well, Kosovo under Serbia would not have those things anyway, so I'm not sure what your point is! The options that Kosovo has are NOT paradise vs the current situation of being independent from Serbia.

The options that Kosovo has are being a part of Serbias vs the current situation of being independent from Serbia. Since the former does not offer anything in addition to the latter, it appears that Kosovo is making the right decision by sticking with the latter.

The ones in the Russian and Chinese governments who ignore the brilliant teachings of the CE of B92 forums sj that the US has collapsed and run out of cash and continue to hold hundreds of billions of US government debt for ridiculously low interest rates.

It is so depressing that the only superpowers in the world, Russia and China, continue to ignore the brilliant teachings of the CE of B92 forums sj and consider the creditworthiness of the US government so good to trust it with so much of their money and demanding very low interest rates.

P.S. CE = Chief Economist
