Yugoslavia was an artificial country created after ww2, to begin with.
Yugo fell apart because of Milosevic serbiana, that wanted to oppress every other republic and every other nationality, period. At least Serbia has a lot in common with every other nationality in former Yugo, except Albanians. We have different culture and different language, as well as we are multi religion nationality . We are not poison from old senile man wearing gods cloth.

There is not any country (whether ancient or not) that has been recognised by the UN! That is something that happened in your head dear, not in the real world!

This will be up to the voters of which 63% say Kosovo is an independent nation. Vucic says he will schedule a referendum according to the wsj. Serbia will recognize Kosovo independence -it's what Serbs want.

there's only one state that enjoys prmanent statehood for more than 500 years now and it is Russia.

none of the balkan peoples had a state of their own before 19 century? some before 20 century.

serbs had a state of their own but their capitol was always in the St. Rus.
