(EU broke, 20 August 2016 19:00)

Russia's population is about 144 million mate, and has declined since when mr. Putin came to power in 2000 (but yes it was about 147 million when mr. Putin's reign begun in 2000).

You got it, mate... Russia does not supply energy to Germany because it loves the Germans - it's because it needs the money to feed the Russian populace. Russia closes down the valves and Germany closes down the flow of money and you'll see how fast Russia's economy collapses after that!

Yes,and when the gas stop's in November, and the whole Europe has to turn to wood to heat,we see what happened in the 2010 year.
Oh,I forgot that you icj1, don't even live in Europe and enjoy your summer in Australia in November ,while the Ukrainian's,Polish,Czechs, Lithuanian's,etc are freezing for 5 month's,while you are at a Aussie Beach.LOL,LOL.
You never set foot in a hash Northern European winter.
Try living without gas in -20 degrees.

So nato can annex kosovo but Russia can't annex Crimea.

Maybe you will try to find out what 'annex' means.
Some little hints:
1. A newly self-proclaimed independent state is not annexed
2. Kosovo is not A NATO member
3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annexation

"German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said there was no reason to lift EU's sanctions against Russia. According to her, the reason is that Moscow "has not fulfilled all of its commitments under the Minsk peace plan."

Wow, great news. It's like "the weather is still sunny - the reason is that there are no clouds."

And to repeat once again: The annexation of Crimea was not the cause of the 'major crisis', it was supporting the ethnic separatists in eastern Ukraine area. And the Crimea annexation was not part of the Minsk agreement, was never connected to the EU sanctions and the lifting of them

You rely heavily on Russian energy. Let Russia close down the valves and you will see how fast you'll have a reason to lift the anti-Russian sanctions. The problem is that Russia is very lenient. They can wipe out and control the entire EU with one turn of the screw, but I guess money makes the world go around.
