This is a travesty. This man was convicted of terrorism and because of his actions a world war started in which 14 million people died. His killing of a government official sparked all of this.
We are talking about Gavrilo Princip, a man convicted of terrorism and in whose honour the Serbian government placed a statue in Belgrade last year, aren't we?
Am I to understand from this article, and other similar articles, statements of the Serbian Government and the comments on this article and others, that if anyone who believes in, supports and fights for an independent and free Croatia is an ustasha? The PM of Croatia, Tihomir Orešković, two days ago said that he have had problems to cooperate with his HDZ ministers, who were only talking about Ustashe and partisans.
Under Tomislav Karamarko's rule, HDZ became a extreme nationalist party. The new leader of HDZ, Andrej Plenković, has promised that he will change his own party. His goal is to transform his party into a center-right party.
Moreover, HDZ will most probably not be re-elected in the upcoming national elections. People are dissapointed with them, and most probably, SDP will be back, perhaps in a coalition with HNS and MOST.

I can't answer your question because I don't reside in Serbia.
I for one truly love Croats, in fact they are some of my favorite people. They have by far the greatest sense of humor of all nationalities that I've met. Also, their women are super cool and make true friends. I always had the best time when around Croats. Fact being, a Croat was my best friend for many years until I literally stabbed the sh*t out of him for being a secret ustasha admirer. Back in them days I didn't practice forgiveness and had zero tolerance for secret ustasha admirers in my circle.

I am a Serb that live's in Serbia,and are shame that comment , that are made about any race of people.I have friends that are Croatian and Shqiptars as house friends in Australia for BBQ,when I lived there for 40 year's.I have alot of Croatian relative's Aunties,Uncles , cousin in-laws that are married to my family members and leave peacefully in Jagodina and around village's.

Correct and that's because in those regions Croats aren't paranoid about being Croat. I have family and friends in and around Kordun near Karlovac and incidents between Croats and Serbs are minimal to nonexistent - largely because everyone equally feels the economic problems of being ignored by successive governments in Zagreb. Istria is probably the best example where this type of nationalistic sh!t isn't seen, let along appreciated.

Sure, Serbs have their share of extremists as well. Let's remember however that Seselj said this during war time and his party barely made it into parliament whereas in Croatia the Croatian Seselj's are actually in power! I think that he did a great thing of making a mockery of the ICTY tribunal but I would never vote for his party. I don't see monuments to them. I don't know of any streets named after them. I can't think of anyone in the Serbian government working overtime to clear their names or "set the record straight". I haven't seen graffiti in their defense in more than a decade. I no longer see souvenirs with their photos being sold at crappy kiosks outside bus terminals and train stations. They may have their fans, but I'm fairly certain the majority of them live in Chicago and Sydney, not Belgrade, Novi Sad, or Nis. The only place in the entire ex-YU that I see overt displays of historical revisionism like this lies in the Most Holy Domovina.
It's no wonder they are doing it in Dalmatia. People from Dalmatia and Herzegovina are the most brainwashed and crazy nationalists in our country, that's well-known.

Yes, I had to look on a map to find out where this "Drage" was, and surprise surprise, it's some backwater village in central Dalmatia. Probably populated by tons of Hercegovinian seljaci with rudimentary education. Also no surprise the ceremony was attended by the HDZ's resident schlock historian and NDH revisionist.
Enough to convince me these are the extreme fringes of Croatia's loony right wing groups that snarl at the sight of Cyrillic and trip over their words (like one of two gem comments below) trying to talk about defending the national heritage from Chetnik barbarity even though they've probably never seen a Serb.
To add to this, it's no surprise all this revisionism is happening after the Croatian government collapsed and before new elections are scheduled because Gospodja Kolinda didn't want the summer season to be spoiled with politics. So what is now a "caretaker" government with no sitting parliament is basically free to pass all sorts of controversial decisions before the HDZ loses big to a resurgent SDP in September.
This would be embarrassing for Croatia if anyone other than Serbia were paying attention. Can't wait for the annual sh!t show about to be celebrated later this week.

Yes the US is supporting this Croatian ustashi behaviour not out of love for Croats but as punishment for Serbia for supporting the Russia. However, the US is a fickle friend and while at the moment its encouraging fascists in Croatia it will turn its back on them as quickly once it finds out it does not work. I for one truly love Croats, in fact they are some of my favorite people. They have by far the greatest sense of humor of all nationalities that I've met. Also, their women are super cool and make true friends. I always had the best time when around Croats. Fact being, a Croat was my best friend for many years until I literally stabbed the sh*t out of him for being a secret ustasha admirer. Back in them days I didn't practice forgiveness and had zero tolerance for secret ustasha admirers in my circle.

The PM of Croatia, Tihomir Orešković, two days ago said that he have had problems to cooperate with his HDZ ministers, who were only talking about Ustashe and partisans.
Under Tomislav Karamarko's rule, HDZ became a extreme nationalist party. The new leader of HDZ, Andrej Plenković, has promised that he will change his own party. His goal is to transform his party into a center-right party.
Moreover, HDZ will most probably not be re-elected in the upcoming national elections. People are dissapointed with them, and most probably, SDP will be back, perhaps in a coalition with HNS and MOST.
Am I to understand from this article, and other similar articles, statements of the Serbian Government and the comments on this article and others, that if anyone who believes in, supports and fights for an independent and free Croatia is an ustasha? And that Serbia will forever agitate for a greater serbia and use all means necessary to achieve its goal? Yes the US is supporting this Croatian ustashi behaviour not out of love for Croats but as punishment for Serbia for supporting the Russia. However, the US is a fickle friend and while at the moment its encouraging fascists in Croatia it will turn its back on them as quickly once it finds out it does not work. As a Saudi diplomat once said, you don’t know what is worse to be a friend or enemy of the US.

Sure, Serbs have their share of extremists as well. Let's remember however that Seselj said this during war time and his party barely made it into parliament whereas in Croatia the Croatian Seselj's are actually in power! I think that he did a great thing of making a mockery of the ICTY tribunal but I would never vote for his party. And I made that very clear when he was in the news for burning the Croatian and American flags.
It's no wonder they are doing it in Dalmatia. People from Dalmatia and Herzegovina are the most brainwashed and crazy nationalists in our country, that's well-known.

Yes, I had to look on a map to find out where this "Drage" was, and surprise surprise, it's some backwater village in central Dalmatia. Probably populated by tons of Hercegovinian seljaci with rudimentary education. Also no surprise the ceremony was attended by the HDZ's resident schlock historian and NDH revisionist.
Enough to convince me these are the extreme fringes of Croatia's loony right wing groups that snarl at the sight of Cyrillic and trip over their words (like one of two gem comments below) trying to talk about defending the national heritage from Chetnik barbarity even though they've probably never seen a Serb.
To add to this, it's no surprise all this revisionism is happening after the Croatian government collapsed and before new elections are scheduled because Gospodja Kolinda didn't want the summer season to be spoiled with politics. So what is now a "caretaker" government with no sitting parliament is basically free to pass all sorts of controversial decisions before the HDZ loses big to a resurgent SDP in September.
This would be embarrassing for Croatia if anyone other than Serbia were paying attention. Can't wait for the annual sh!t show about to be celebrated later this week.

I don't see monuments to them. I don't know of any streets named after them. I can't think of anyone in the Serbian government working overtime to clear their names or "set the record straight". I haven't seen graffiti in their defense in more than a decade. I no longer see souvenirs with their photos being sold at crappy kiosks outside bus terminals and train stations. They may have their fans, but I'm fairly certain the majority of them live in Chicago and Sydney, not Belgrade, Novi Sad, or Nis. The only place in the entire ex-YU that I see overt displays of historical revisionism like this lies in the Most Holy Domovina.

I am a Serb that live's in Serbia,and are shame that comment , that are made about any race of people.I have friends that are Croatian and Shqiptars as house friends in Australia for BBQ,when I lived there for 40 year's.I have alot of Croatian relative's Aunties,Uncles , cousin in-laws that are married to my family members and leave peacefully in Jagodina and around village's.
Remember alot non Serb's live in Serbia with no problems.

This is a travesty. This man was convicted of terrorism and because of his actions a world war started in which 14 million people died. His killing of a government official sparked all of this.

Correct and that's because in those regions Croats aren't paranoid about being Croat. I have family and friends in and around Kordun near Karlovac and incidents between Croats and Serbs are minimal to nonexistent - largely because everyone equally feels the economic problems of being ignored by successive governments in Zagreb. Istria is probably the best example where this type of nationalistic sh!t isn't seen, let along appreciated.
