It looks like it will contract first, all the wealthy and powerful members will exit and then the expansion of weaker poorer nations will commence, all controlled by Germany. Something to look forward to!

Skepticism: no one is begging Serbia to join. You want to stay out and be governed by local politicians? Be my guest.

IS IT THE NEW SHQIPTARE APPROACH?
GOOD AND PROMPT MOVE!

The EU is finished. Once other countries see the UK can leave with the sky still intact and the sun coming out every morning, they will want to get the hell out too. Northern countries because they don't want to fund this stupid project anymore, southern countries don't want EU imposed austerity. Put a nail in the coffin for the EUSSR. Good riddance.

Of course it will enlarge.

It has to.

More exits coming from Scandinavia.

The EU will devolve to a poor boys club financed by a rich banker (Germany).

I think it is important for people to stay calm and avoid statements that are idiotic

EU is not dead, it will be reformed and hopefully get rid of some of the eastern european corrupted regimes with strong anti-EU rhetoric but are happy to spend EU money (and put it in their pockets). The orbans of europe should be kicked out of the EU and stay out

As far as turkey is concerned, there is no way for a middle east dictatorship to join the EU. No one wants turkey and turks in the EU. They will stay out for ever. That's it.

As far as Serbia is concerned, no one is begging Serbia to join. You want to stay out and be governed by local politicians? Be my guest.

EU enlargement is dead. He knows it. More countries will leave. Turkey is on the way in and who wants to be in a union with them? EU is a sinking ship and not even rats jumps aboard sinking ships.
