When Barak Obama came to office it was like the second coming of Jesus because people looked to him to fix all the problems, but today he is the epitome of evil. It’s all his fault despite the fact he inherited a mess he could not fix left over by George Bush and neo-cons – they squandered trillions on useless war that they lost.
In fact Congressional hearings have disclosed that the wastage factor for Afghanistan alone was 70% while Iraq was about 45%.
Obama can’t stop Putin nor can the next US president – people. The US does not have the resources or equipment.

Leonidas, "Meantime, Putin has "played a blinder" of a game, outwitted Obama at every turn, and "run him off the park" ie on the Iranian nuclear issue and Syria." Outwitting Obama is nothing to brag about. A lot of people in the US think Obama is working for Putin.

The US military-industrial gravy train rolls on. Look at a map and see who the aggressor is. Does Russia have the US surrounded with missiles?Does Russia spend $800 billion yearly on defence? Does Russia have 700+ foreign military bases ? Europe bears a lot of rensposibility for letting the US spearhead its aggression world-wide through NATO and the biggest threats to Europe, international terrorism and the migration crisis, are both created by the US foreign policy in the Middle East, not by Russia.
Meantime, Putin has "played a blinder" of a game, outwitted Obama at every turn, and "run him off the park" ie on the Iranian nuclear issue and Syria. The real paradox is that in some senses the "West" is being better protected by the Russian president than by the U.S. Shouldn't Europe be talking to President Putin?

Let me repeat what I posted a couple of weeks ago. The Rand Corporation conducted a computer modelling exercise to find out the readiness and effectiveness of NATO forces against Russia in the event of Moscow attempting to take over the Baltic States.
The end result was that Russian forces could completely take over these countries in 24 hours while destroying, encircling or simply bypassing NATO forces.
It appears that this exercise took into account not only the so called fast reaction force of 30,000 but a large portion of NATO forces (no numbers mentioned).
Just today the United States of Windbags announced they will deploy an armoured brigade to "eastern Europe". That’s about just over 5,000. Now that is going to frighten Moscow to no end, LOL.
Perhaps they should have diverted that number to Syria to help their protégés aka ISIS? LOL.
