Serge, you are right, Serbia can block the books (or request revision) because it undermines its security, just as Kosova will block (or request revision) of the Association of Serb Municipalities because it undermines its security. Both Serbia and Kosova made agreements on these issues and both they have to honor these agreements to some extent. If we continue to negotiate maybe little by little things will change for the better. That's what normalization of relations is all about. Unless Serbia has something else in mind besides the normalization of relations, because if it does, oh boy, nothing can come good out of it for Serbia or Kosova.

Sounds like Serbia is caught in a "Catch 22".

Yes, I hope so, but I’ve heard the same old song so many times its sounding a tad tiresome. It was also said that unless Kosovo was recognised no free movement, trade, the SAA and so forth. Every time the EU comes to an impasse they back down.
Watch the EU do it again and then sell it as a victory LOL.

Avni behave like what? The books are politically motivated and the last time I checked Presevo Valley is within Serbian borders. If people want their kids to be taught in school praising their KLA heros and Kosovo independence then they should so that in Albania where they are free or independent to teach their kids to hate Serbs or whatever they like really - but you wont get away with that within Serbian borders.Any country in the world would do the same in Serbias position...

Actually, one can say the same for the EU

it is a factual matter that Serbia's constitution cannot be changed by a president. It requires a referendum.

When the time comes for Kosovo, it is predictable that the SOC will have a very powerful bloc that will urge the largely provincial Serbian population to vote "No."

The EU has no political power that it can even exercise over the SOC.

Of course, we will all need to wait more than 10 years for that day to even come and in that time guys like the one in this interview will be retired someplace in Yorkshire smoking pipes, drinking guiness, and tending sheep.

In other words, EU want serbia to completely abolish itself , and delcare war on Russia, before it can be in EU club.
How nice of them.

From Brian: "...That can't happen until vucic Schedules his referendum that removes Kosovo from serbias constitution."

Hey Brian, give it a rest. You've been saying the same thing over and over and over again for years on this board. You are a one trick pony. Go get a hobby. You're boring us all to tears. Everyone on this board knows what you're going to write before you write it. BORING.

The Brussels agreements aren't legally binding normalization agreements? What does he mean? He means a signed recognition of Kosovo by Serbia? That can't happen until vucic Schedules his referendum that removes Kosovo from serbias constitution. How can Serbia have normalized relations with Kosovo and claim Kosovo! Kosovo would have to agree that its a part of Serbia to Serbia. Never going to happen.
