It is not Serbia and kosovo. That implies two separate countries which they are not. It is Belgrade and pristina. KosovO will always be Serbian.

You Albanian's thought Serbia needs EU bad enough to give away South of Serbia.You got it wrong,EU will need Serbia as a bridge between EU one side,and Russia,Belarus, Kazakhstan, China,Vietnam, Cuba,Venezuela, IRAN,etc.Like what happen beginning of November in Belgrade.

This lays bear the Brussels talks in the public domain. Though it might not state recognition for this to be closed is essence an indecent proposal and signifies what this SNS lead government are complicity allowing the EU commission i.e. bending over and being shafted by it!

This document crosses many lines the SNS said they would never do so it begs the question how sincere Vucic is being with the EU given much in this document will never be implemented and clearly the EU commission can then stop chapter negotiations in all other matters.

This is not progress nor reforms that are to the benefit of Serbian citizens across the whole of Serbia, it even implies Serbia must treat Serbian citizens as "Kosovarians"!

To all the people that will be disillusioned that Kosovo must be international country,read chapter 35 and ponder where it states that Kosovo must be a country.
Serbia will have access to join EU,just like Cyprus with two entities ( Greeks,and Turks) ,where its divided but One whole country .

Formal recognition is not required if all points of chapter 35 are implemented. Its a good day for Kosovo and I think its good for serbia too since it gets offerd a path to walk in dignity. You have been doing the walk of shame long enough, its time for real reforms.

It would be useful to hear from the EU with regard to their expectations of Kosovo. I realise that it is currently Serbia seeking EU membership but it is not possible to normalise relations with anyone unless they play their full part. If people like Thaci believe that being obstructive can delay Serbia's accession bid the likelihood is that he will gleefully take this option. Clearly I wouldn't expect that Serb politicians sit back, do nothing and then blame the Kosovans, but there is a limit to how much unilateral action can achieve.

Your claim to Kosovo is we have some churches there and 5% of Kosovo population. 83% of EU says Kosovo is independent country and you still say oh dont worry. Non of those places in EU had their territory recognised as independant country by not even 1 let alone 83%.

I state that the money for Bosnia Herzegovina, and South Serbia(Pristina) is trying up!
Western world will have to fix new frontiers, with black gold(oil).
Bosnia is on it's last leg's, and Pristina is having problems with investor's and economical confidential,NO growth.I don't care ,as I don't live their in NATO Paradise, and I guaranty you don't either.God help the poor people that live in NATO Paradise, and have to live with 5-10 euros aday IF they have a job for another 10 years or so until agreement is made.You and the rest of the keyboard warriors don't suffer ,but citizens of NATO Paradise will.

You are correct on that... it's stupid to think that Serbia can give away something that does not have. Serbia's options are (1) join the EU without Kosovo or (2) don't join the EU without Kosovo. If somebody has told you that if Serbia does not join the EU then it will get Kosovo back, you have been grossly misled!

It is an unwritten condition that a country must first join NATO before becoming an EU member. This will be a bitter pill for Serbia to swallow, however, there is no other option. Wait and see!

Dude you are most likely a serb troll instead of American as you claim and you only wish what you are saying is true. But even if you are American than you know nothing regarding the stance of US Government on Kosovo. The truth is the US has done everything, starting with initial suport, going to war in 1999 recognizing the Republic of Kosovo and much more. It will always protect its interests weather you like it or now.

For those of you out there thinking that Serbia will join the EU having Kosovo as part of it in the constitution you are just delusional. What will likely happen is your goverment will gradually, diplomaticly,move towards recognition and finally move on with its head up or you will be an isolated country with EU and NATO members surounding you. As I have experienced life in Serb apartheid Kosovo and Kosovo as a country with our corrupt politicians its heaven on earth. My high school was poisoned twice by Serbian police, teachers used to be taken for teaching Albanian. Serbia is such an economical superpower that Kosovo will regret dear lord you are in debt to eye balls compare your self to a country with similar population and will see like Czech republic.

I am not here to convince you but at least shake you awake fro time to time that Serbia wont make Kosovo a economic superpower as you or any Serb says in this forum. your country is being bought pice by piece just like most Balkan nations this territory will be used as a cheap labor for EU for decades to come enjoy.
