Four years ago he believed that Iran will remain isolated, that Assad will be overthrown, that Kurds will be weakened, that Russia will never intervene, that their Jihadists will occupy Iraq and Syria, that Hezbollah will not join the war, that NATO will have to support Erdogan’s land operation, that Russia will not implement sanctions ect. Today he makes another mistake by refusing to apologize as it unties Putin’s hands. As soon as our 10 000 tourists are back we’ll be ready show the difference between F-16 and SU-34. Also Russia already used the new opportunities and deployed S-400 and de facto introduced no fly zone in Syria. All who would not like to check the S-400 effectiveness must inform the Russians of their planes, routes, time ect. all including the USA, Israel, NATO satellites, Saudites ect.

Very tragic that a Russian soldier ended up loosing his life but this idiotic action from Turkey will shine the spot light directly on the Devils face! 5.) Every air mission from now on in Syria will be escorted by Russian fighter jets equipped with the best radars, fastest missiles and most advanced radar jammers used by any army.

Turkey should watch it's back. I sure would not want to be a Turkish pilot after this massive blunder. You might as well call them "dead men flying".

In fact things develop different from what you say. It’s been 2 days that one way or another Turkey is trying to ease the tense while Russia does not accept the offered explanations. Seems that Erdogan will be made the main target but not Turkey. Russia has already started to implement political and economic sanctions and many of them will be irrational from the western and Turkish point. But they will be in harmony with the Russian mentality because there comes a time when they stop to count their losses including money. So the Russian respond will be unexpectedly strong and long lasting. Military respond is also inevitable as soon as 10 000 of their tourists are back in a week or so. Russia is already harvesting the incident by establishing a no fly zone for the Turkish planes in the border zone and in Syria where Turks are being hunted for 2 days already. Besides Russia used the pretext to deploy (in 24 hours !) their S-400 missiles in the world’s most vital zone. So now the Israeli the US and any other planes will have to inform them about their plans in the vast area. So what I can see is imposing Russia’s will on the west and yesterday’s visit of Hollande demonstrated it once again. He was nodding all evening through when Putin spoke. So Russia has it hands untied and the Turkish apology is the last thing they'd like to hear now.

They want Russia to send more ground troops into Syria which will then galvanize even more recruits for ISIS and Russia will find itself in another Afghanistan and when that happens down goes Putin and shortly after Assad which was Israel goal from the beginning.
