Your comparison of Serbia to Texas is way off mark, not even close.
Texas is a powerful state, it is one of the most populous states in the country and does have a very high latino population.
It is not the rogue state you claim, it does conform to the federal laws of the country and not as a dream presented here on this forum wanting to secede from the union.
Unlike Serbia though, it has a solid infrastructure and actually could survive independently, which Serbia relies on loans and grants to keep its politicians flying around the world seeking more loans and grants.
Texas has embraced its minority population and they are included in many government offices. It has no disputed territory, nor has it ever been taken to court over state sanctioned war crimes. Most everything is both in English and Spanish, even restaurants carry Spanish menus as they realize that a large portion of their profits come from there. I don't see Serbian businesses catering to the minority population.
As far as guns, yes Texas has a large number of guns due to its population but when you break it down on number of guns per capita, Texas ranks 32 out of 50 of the states.
Very few people do actually wear cowboy hats unlike in the movies.
The biggest difference is though, People do not feel that being a Texan makes them superior in any way, very much unlike Serbia.

Serbia in the EU, it's like Texas in the Unites States of America....

Texas is the lone star state... It disagrees with the federal government on many issues and is seen as almost a rebel state as it has a pro-gun constituency... Texas is also where the majority of migrants from South America enter illegally into the US, Texas is the gate to the US... Texas is in the south of the US...Texas has a large Latino minority...

Now Serbia is similar to Texas, a lone star state implies that Serbia like Texas is independent in many ways and focuses on its constituents and their needs, not on the needs of the federal government, or in this case, the needs of the EU, such as sanctions on Russia... Many Serbia citizens are well armed, just as those in Texas... Serbia is south of the EU as a whole and is the gate keepers of Europe, it is where many migrants pass through to reach the EU... And lastly, Serbia has a large Albanian minority in its southern province of Kosovo...

Texas is where the leader of the US was assassinated (Kennedy), Serbia is where the leader of the Ottomon empire was assassinated, along with the emperial arch duke Ferdinand...

So, Serbia to join the EU, is like Texas joining the US... The Serbs like the Texans will not bow down to the federal government, they are more independent than the other states and they focus on their constituents, they are not easily persuaded...

Davenport may be rejoicing but sane Serbs certainly aren't. They'd rather have Tito back than get into bed with this bunch of misfits, that's how they welcome this tragic prospect is!!

Chapter I: How to give away Kosovo.

Chapter II: How to hand out Vojvodina (minus the Serbian population)

Chapter III: How to "liberate" Sandzak from Serbia

Chapter IV: How to make East Serbs speak Romanian.

Chapter V: Returning the Ottomans to Belgrade.

Chapter VI: Apologizing to the Croats for Jasenovac.

Chapter VII: Banning that ugly cyrillic script.

Chapter VIII: Repenting for killing the Archduke.

Chapter IX: Expelling the Russians from Serbia.

Chapter X: Converting Serbs to Baptists and/or Mormons and/or Methodists and/or Scientology and/or Anglicans and/or Catholics and/or Lutherans.

...you get the idea. This is going to be an anti-Serbian stinkfest galore.

Keep the chapters closed! We will be just fine without the EU. At the moment, we don't have migrant issues. The EU will forever have those issues now.
