Serbia signs first inter-state agreement with Saudi Arabia

It's disgusting that anyone in the civilised world deals with this bunch of backward sadists. A country where women aren't allowed to drive and have to cover themselves, where people are beheaded for questioning a book over a thousand years old and many more human rights abuses. Trouble is that they have oil and money so everyone turns a very blind eye, even though they are no better than ISIS.

I wonder is Saudi arabia would allow the Jews to look after the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem...

What is Israel invaded Saudi arabia, should the Jews seek to control the cultural sights in Mecca and make a unesco bid for them, even if they went and deliberately destroyed many of the sights before making a unesco bid...

Be careful what you wish for Saudi arabia, just because this is happening to Kosovo now, does not mean it can't happen to you, the Yemeni people may one day invade, or the Persians, maybe even the Jews...

oliveira, I've been to Belgrade and I had a beer. My wife drove the hire car some of the time and I had conversations with people on various subjects including how silly religion is. No one stoned me to death or chopped my hands off.

Andy UK: I am sure that life for Saudi women isn't great but I watched a BBC documentary in which a female UK citizen of Saudi birth tried in vain to persuade anonymous local women to rise up against their oppression. They were not to be so persuaded and were prepared to put up with the restrictions on their freedom for the life of luxury being provided by their husbands. I am not advocating this system but pointing out that even where it might seem clear that a certain regime is intolerable, there is another side to the argument. My point was more a general one about adhering to the laws of ANY country if you choose to go there as a visitor. That is why those who have come to the UK by choice and now advocate the application of Sharia Law to their communities can, quite frankly, take a running jump.

Kosovo being a member of UNESCO means that Kosovo will have a legal obligation to protect, among other things, the Serbian religious and cultural heritage in Kosovo. So, I don't get how voting for the protection of the Serb religious and cultural heritage in Kosovo means going against the Serbs!!! Can you explain your logical reasoning, if any?!
