While I agree with your posting I would also include the US -the main culprit in those wars. But you see causal explanations are taboo in neoliberal media outlets.

Yeah, it is indeed very weird how neoliberal media outlets can't see the "causal" explanation since it was the US that ordered Assad or Gaddafi to slaughter their own people... How can the neoliberal media outlets not see that?!!! Brillian people like Ari Gold and Leonidas should absolutely educate the world about these "causal explanations" they have discovered!

What are you talking about! There are towns around Nis that are almost empty. There is plenty of room for refugees. It's just that Serbia is mean spirited and has a pathological hatred toward Muslims. Isn't it time for Serbia to rise above it's Medieval mentality. We already have earned a very negative image, by doing good for others will help with our public relations. Our boastful politicians, rather than talking bs publicly about how great they and Serbia are, should make an effort to help others in their hour of need.

Serbia once again carrying biggest burden and helping people who only abuse it. Serbia has a housing shortage of its own. Why is Vucic once again putting others first. Close all borders and let them stay in Macedonia, Hungary and Albania.

Right. Unless Croatia should grant open transit, I'd prefer the route through the Republica Srpska, the Federation & Croatia if I was a refugee. The border between the Republica Srpska and Serbia's usually not mined. Neither's the border between Croatia and former Herceg-Bosna. It's a long way though.

The previous policy was to discourage illegal economic migrants. Hungary is actually using that same policy. The idea is that by backing up the people in Serbia the message will get back down the line and slow the numbers. Serbia can help that process restricting movement in the south and passing the message that the door isn't open.

There are potentially MILLIONS who may still want to try the same route. Somewhere a stop needs to be called.

NONE of those coming through Serbia are refugees - they were that when they left their own country, but since then they have moved on from their original place of safety. ALL are looking for a better economic future - and in my view it is wrong that they can just walk into Europe without due processing and acceptance by the receiving countries.

Merkle was wrong to change policy unilaterally and try to impose the solution on the rest of Europe.

In my view much more resource should be pumped into the camps in Jordan, and much more military effort should be used to stablise the criminal stupidity of this war in Syria. Putin has been keeping this war alive because he wants to keep Russian 'friends' in Syria, but IS needs to be smashed - so the West needs to accept Putin's policy about Assad (however that distasteful that may be because pragmatically that will not change) - truces and concentrations of force are needed to reestablish some kind of normalality to the area.

A 26-year old migrant enroute to Germany expressed his frustration in a recent article with Hungary's decision to close their borders after he risked the lives of his 3 wives and 4 children getting to Greece. The 800,000 migrants Germany has committed to accept will quickly grow into the millions. European - are you awake?

Krejzi

Its ridiculous for Hungary to return these migrants to Serbia...their point of entry was an EU country = Greece. Officially, this makes them EU migrants. Serbia is merely a facilitator. I'm with Poland, help these people in their time of need but dont grant permanent residency (asylum) automatically - Reasonable restrictions should be in place until such time EU has a cohesive plan to deal with the staggering number of migrants.

Paul

This is yet another face of a global problem: Illegal immigration away from countries pathologically overpopulated into countries with more sober population growth. Syria was a place of contest between the reproductive rates of the native Alawites and the Sunni populations. The same kind of population explosion from the Shiite has led to the Shiite takeover of Iraq.

The UN and our political leaders in the world will not face this existential threat to humanity.

It's going to get worse and blaming the US, with its own illegal immigrant infection is pointless.

Yes, the US is culpable in the current upheaval in the Middle East, but not to blame. Islam is to blame and its admirers and sympathizers. In the Americas the problem is not Islam, it is the Catholic Church and its rotten medieval authority and social policies.

LOL! Serbians are looking after these refugees very well. They are feeding them and offering them rooms in their apartments. However, they are just passing through on their way to Western Europe.

This problem was not caused by Serbs and it is not our problem to resolve. It is the problem of those rich countries, firstly because they caused the instability and war, they created and supported the terrorists and they are now responsible for accepting the refugees who are knocking on their door, not ours.

Serbs as a whole are being very generous to these needy refugees. Much much much more generous than our neighbours, who are generally mistreating them, which I assume are orders coming from Germany.

Avni

Serbia, Greece & Hungary should take a united stance that these people shouldn't be in eastern Europe for more than a couple of days. They should be put on airplanes and flown to Paris, Berlin, Brussels and London. These are the capitals where the overthrow of Gaddafi and Assad was spearheaded from, it certainly wasn't Serbia that destabilized that region.

While every country surrounding Serbia knows full well that they did not cause the crisis to begin with, only Serbia's government is volunteering to share the burden. To bail out countries that were the focal point of NATO's aggression towards Serbia.

Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors.

- Schengen is dead
- European Monetary Union is dead
- European unity is dead (as was exposed in this migrant crisis and Ukraine crisis)
- dovereign European debt has not been lowered and just continues until it will implode

The EU will collapse within a decade

The border between Croatians the incorrigible Serbs is mined. [...] Now Croatia [link] is also deploying thousands of troops on the borders with the incorrigible Serbs.(Lenard, 15 September 2015 20:09)

The government is using this "crisis" to distract the public from their incompetence. However, they're too late, Serbs know their government is incompentent.

"Is it true what l heard the other day, that 40% of migrants into Germany last year were from the 'Western Balkans'- l imagine they were referring to Kosovo/Albania rather than Montenegro and Corfu Island?
(Marina, 16 September 2015 14:00) "

They comes from Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Serbia because all of those countries are corrupt as hell and have very little jobs. Have you ever been to Vienna or Munich? They're like a mini Yugoslavia.

These are the capitals where the overthrow of Gaddafi and Assad was spearheaded from
(Ari Gold, 15 September 2015 16:20)

While I agree with your posting I would also include the US -the main culprit in those wars. But you see causal explanations are taboo in neoliberal media outlets.
(Leonidas, 15 September 2015 16:56)

Yeah, it is indeed very weird how neoliberal media outlets can't see the "causal" explanation since it was the US that ordered Assad or Gaddafi to slaughter their own people... How can the neoliberal media outlets not see that?!!! Brillian people like Ari Gold and Leonidas should absolutely educate the world about these "causal explanations" they have discovered!
