I know only one such a wall that is more or less effective. It is in Israel and it was built for years. It cost a lot of money and it’s guarded by plenty of soldiers. Yet Arabs find other ways of threating Israel and should the life outside the country be better or less dangerous this wall would not help. All other walls including the Great Wall in China ( built in 18-19 centuries AC ) added nothing to security. Refugees from KIM or Africa are just sequences of the problem so we are to treat the disease called the USA. It's a very big and dangerous disease that can be treated only if other nations start to cooperate.

While I'm not a great fan of Brussels bureaucracy, nor Hungarian xenophobia, it is important to be clear about a few facts in regards to the current refugee crisis.

Since Serbia is not recognizing Kosovo as an independent state, it must provide free access to Serbian territory for the Kosovo Albanians. Should Serbia recognize Kosovo it could stop the Albanians at its borders by imposing entry visas.

The greater problem in this very serious situation is that Kosovo Albanians are flooding Europe while fully aware of the fact that they will never be granted political asylum and will be sent back when found. This is taking up time and resources that are needed to deal with legitimate refugees from war torn areas in Africa and Middle East.

If or when Serbia becomes an EU member it will be required to protect EU's outer borders towards Kosovo, Macedonia and BiH, thereby de facto recognizing Kosovo and preventing Kosovo Albanians entry.

The Hungarian fence is a very bad idea but the Kosovo refugees are to a great extent a Serbian problem.

This fence is a horrible thing but I can understand the Hungarians to an extent. I hope they do not go through with it and the threat is enough. It isn't the Hungarians I am angry at, it is those faceless bureaucrats in Brussels who insisted we allowed Kosovo Albanians transit through our country without any controls, and now we are being censured for their stupidity. And not a word of apology of course.

Of course they are, it would be a cruel joke on life for them to pay everything they own and face so much hardship and danger to end up permanently stuck in a country that welcomes nonSerbs like a kitten walking into a pack of feral dogs.
