You are completely right. But Serbia will never join the EU so the entire thing is pointless. Just think, to relinquish claim over your own territory, where you have documented proof that you've invested billions into, all for membership in a union that will not be taking any new members.

It is true, the KLA are panicking over the "special" war crimes court that the West seems to be demanding. It's special because they want a clan based kleptocracy to arrest a few of their own. That's no easy task.

The thought of a genocide lawsuit precedes the mention of this court by years. I do not think that if it came to pass an actual genocide lawsuit would prevail, and if it did what would it accomplish. As Dick Marty said in his report the horrendous and violent actions of Serbs on the Albanians under the reign of Milosevic are well documented and without question.
As far as this so called court, what is it going to accomplish? The ICTY has oversight over the same crimes. For those who claim the ICTY was corrupt or a "NATO court" who do you think this court run by the EU will consist of??? Mainly judges and prosecutors from NATO countries and judges released due to the closing of the ICTY. But then again it should soothe the hearts of those who feared not being able to claim bias.
As he says even if Kosovo had world wide support which it is not even close.... Actually it has MORE support than Serbia does on the issue of whether it is independent or not.
Serbia has overplayed the 5 EU countries do not recognize Kosovo card, as you can see it does not really make a difference. The EU is proceeding forward with negotiations with Pristina sans Belgrade regardless of what Belgrade says.

Imagine Kosovo joined Serbia tomorrow, are we ready to go bilingual everywhere as according to EU standards Albanians would have the same status. How about our parliament? It will be stuck and paralized with the albanian parties being the kingmakers all the time. And considering our declining demographics, it wont be very long before they will be in the majority.
I always thought that our smart politicians will extract some heavy concessions from the EU in order to recognize Kosovo and move on, but no, we are clearly run by nationalist demagogues not pragmatists. We have lost Kosovo and gotten nothing for it. Shame on our political class.

This billions of investment dollars are intrigueing, and where is the proof.
What about the millions removed from Kosovo from the mines and taxes?
What about the millions that were borrowed from IMF and WB that Serbia claimed were used by Kosovo but stopped paying and have been removed and placed under the credit of Kosovo?
What about the billions of damage to infrastructure to Kosovo caused by you over the course of 10 years of Milosevic?
The bottom line is what you took from Kosovo overshadows any possible expenses that Serbia claims.
But the fact is you have lost Kosovo for good and it is only hurting Serbia to continue to pretend they own it.

All victims of Serbia in Slovenia,Croatia,Bosnia and Kosova must unite in a Class Action Suit because Serbia has pattern of State Sponsored Terrorism.

The Hague can also assist with evidence to make Serbia pay the billions in owes in debt .

War restitution and financial compensation is long overdue.

Bring Serbia to justice in order for permenant reconcilation to succeed.

There's nothing quite like the failure of strategic thinking, but Bruxelles has form, its last massive failure to draw in the Ukraine and still expect Russia to pick up the bill (for starters). That's what you get when EU member states send their second class politicians to the European Parliament - they just rubber stamp the Commission & Council's decisions, though to be honest, Foreign Policy is the single policy area of the Lisbon Treaty where unanimity and not qualified majority voting still stands - i.e. policy can be vetoed.

Exactly that what causes the delays and obstructions of setting up the KLA war crime court - the persons who are suspected to have ordered those crimes simply turned into politicians and ministers. But well, even Serbia where the war criminals from the past were removed from politics still has to deal with nationalists, headed by Nicolic, who live in denial, just like the 100.000s of Kosovo Albanians who still admire their 'KLA heroes' headed by Thaci. A good sign is that these persons are getting less, since more and more people realize that these 'heroes' only care for Kosovo as a home base for their drug business, and not for Kosovo as a democratic state with a perspective for its citizens.
