EU extends existing sanctions against Russia

The session of the Foreign Affairs Council of the EU was marked by sharp debate between the majority of member-states, which had asked for the tightening of sanctions, and the minority, led by Greece, which was against their extension.

It is absolutely correct for the new Greek government not only to dispute the EU consensus over Ukraine but also to speak up its mind on Ukraine(I was really pleased to hear Tsipras calling the Ukrainian Gov a bunch of Nazis). After all most of the Greek government are intelligent people and have a respect for truth that has disappeared among the so-called leaders of the EU.Merkel,Cameron etc. are just 'following orders' and saying what they have been ordered to say.These leaders continue to repeat lies regarding Russia as if repeating them will turn the lies into truth.Problem here is US/UK & EU started the problem in Ukraine put missiles in Romania and the Baltics aimed at Russian cities. When Putin retaliates,as he should if we were in his shoes, the west cries Wolf.However,Informed western citizens understand they have more to fear from their own governments building police states in their very midst than anything Russia threatens.If anything a new powerful Russia keeps western governments in check and offers more chance of democratic freedoms for the west than the building of tyrannical police states .

The West put the military bases in Rumania and Baltic states because those countries don't feel safe and they are right not to feel safe from Russia. Russia always has exported poverty and dictatorships.

So it’s stupid to believe that an Albanian male/female can do something about it. Hey mate, please make sure to check with Kremlin's propaganda Department because the statement above does not follow its story lol There was no Russia response until Crimea "declared independence" and there is no Russia response in East and South Ukraine. Everything in Crimea, and in East/South Ukraine is fighting between Ukrainians - Russia has nothing to do with it. Haven't you received Kremlin's instructions yet?!

As for Ukraine,
There was a agreement between Ukraine,Russia,USA and EU signed in Budapest in 1994 where Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons to Russia in exchange for Krimea.
Putin didnt even respected this agreement.

About Yukanovich it was his game to leave the country and blame it on the protesters,bacause he was counting in Russia support.

As for his decision to abandon the West and be with Russia,it was a non democratic decision bacause he was pupet of Moscow.
In a county where the population is 50% pro East and the other 50% pro West a strategic decision of this level should have been decided by a referendum or by a complex negotiations with his opponents.
Anyway he decided to go East and he should have excpected that half of his population would have been upset.

Secondly,
Regardless what happened in Kiev there was no justification for Putin to go and anex Krimea ,because the ukraine army was not commiting ethnic cleansing.
Even Serbian and Greek goncerments wer againts of anexation of Krimea.

Putin was elected by elections where in Chechenia he got 100%.

Well, if the Soviet Union contributed to defeat Hitler 70 years ago that does not does give a Russian leader today a license to behave like Hitler.
