Nikolic u fool, you think anyone cares any longer if Serbia will recognize The Republic of Kosova, not one bit! Kosova in a few weeks will have a officially recognized standing army, supported by NATO and the democratic world, and will be in a better position militarily then ever! And After a few years, once NATO realizes that Kosova's military has proven to be a main mechanism for stability in Southern Europe, I am 99.9% sure they will accept The Republic of Kosova as a full fledged member! This is what happens when Serbia is treated in a condescending manner by Brussels: demanding the country lower wages and pensions to get into the high-wage EU while Russia is by comparison showing respect. If Serbia was where Ukrain is geography wise than yes. As a result Serbia must play its role just like every other other small country provide cheap work force to North Europeans and high skilled that will leave the country. Take Milan Martic for example. He has been tried and sentenced by the ICTY. Once he serves his 30 year sentence an arrest warrant will be issued by the Croatian authorities. Martic will not even be able to step off prison grounds as the handcuffs will be waiting. He will be flown to ZG to be tried once again for crimes against humanity. There may well be other warrants from local municipalities / courts that want to place Martic before the courts.......Even though they would look like fools if they did, but Serbia if it wanted to..it could slap an arrest warrant on Gotovina. Well that is the problem. The topic is a sick old dying man who proved his innocence in a highly anti-Serbian court for over 11 years. I don't think he can progress Serbia forward, but the Hague had over a decade to convict him of something and could not.

And meanwhile neo-ustashaism is at a fever pitch today in Croatia. The Ustashe committed what could only be described as a terrorist attack in Italy just less than a month ago. They threw flame throwers directly at Italian players, clashed with Italian police and ripped apart seats and threw them at the opposing fans. This was all done in a very planned and organized fashion.

The more Serbia refuses to recognize Kosovo the more half of the planet will keep refusing to recognize Kosovo and the more the Albs in Kosovo will be helpless. You can't even build an airport and have international flights unless everyone recognizes independence. You can't have your own currency unless everyone recognizes independence. About joining the EU, look at Croatia: their debt last summer was less than 60% and 6 months later it jumped to 67% THOUGH they took a load of money as subsidies from the EU. Greece has been the top investor in Albania, after Serbia's request in 2000. You are not alone. Putin increases its investments in Serbia, it was announced a few weeks ago. Greece is the 3rd biggest investor there, too. Spain, Slovakia, Cyprus and Romania support you. Don't give up. You are the bravest nation in Europe. Serbia has showed more than enough by extraditing Mladic and Karadzic while you albanians and croats have showed that you celebrate your war heroes and make them presidents and prime ministers. During WWI those were the elite Royal Army troups, fighthing the AustroHungerians and the Germans in Serbia (and beating them and that' s one of the reasons the migthy Germany hates little Serbia).In WWI under general Mihajlovic they fought successfuly the SS divisions in Serbia, not in Croatia or any other place (that's the other reason Germany distaste Serbia). Serbs should never join the EU, you don't need to. Look at Croatia, Estonia and Lithuania, they have the HIGHEST corruption index within the EU, according to the World Bank and the IMF. Greece had and still has way lower corruption than these countries and yet we had to deal with a crisis which occurred due to our corruption level. Croatia, Lithuania and Estonia will be in that position too. It's just a matter of time, because there are no requirements regarding the corruption index when you apply for joining the EU. Greece is officially back on the growth rate track, but that's only because of our "natural wealth" as the EU says. In other words, the EU is interested in the oil of the Aegean sea. The Serbian economy will not be better off by joining the EU. Slovenians regret joining the Union and Croats started having problems too. Croats tell you "boohoo we are in the EU and you are not" simply because they try desperately to say anything to hurt your feelings. Slovenians call Croats Nazis everywhere in Europe! Don't mind Croats, only Germans like them and no one in the EU likes Germans, especially the Dutch the Brits and the French. Serbia must always remember that Kosovo is Serbian terrain. Let the West destroy Slovenia and Croatia slowly, you don't need to follow that path. In a few years Cyprus and Greece will be the oil producers of Europe and all that with the EU's blessing! Be patient Serbs, all the others in the EU have "allies" or "friends". You have our love.

The WWII ''Serbian'' fascists' ranks were staffed by 80% German soldiers and 100% German officers and if there wasn't those Serbs to play the role of quislings, Croatia and Bulgaria were supposed to divide up Serbia and Serbians would have been subjected to Ustasa-style massacres the other half were to have been assimilated into Bulgarians. 90% of Serbians were either pro-Western Chetniks (until the West betrayed Draza) or pro-Moscow Partizans.

Serbia, as an Orthodox country, needs to forget the Godless EU. If Nikolic believes that the price to pay for EU membership is recognition of Kosovo and joining in with sanctions against Russia, neither of which he is prepared to countenance, then it surely follows that the country must withdraw its application for such membership. As it happens, the EU as a block has not said that recognition of Kosovo is a condition but each member has a veto and could threaten to use it unilaterally if Serbia does not comply with its wishes. Frankly, a sorry situation all round. If I were a Serb I would want my leader(s)to have a long hard think about continuing along the path to the EU.

You are new to the International Law, dear Croat. Educate yourself. "Veto" cannot just be used simply because you say so. If you do that, it is the Serbs who will make you crawl to the International Court in the Hague for violation of the veto use. I don't know how old you are, probably young. But you must understand what veto means and how it is used. If the ICH says that a Serb is not found guilty or that he can return to Serbia due to health issues, you cannot veto. And have in mind, that 5 EU countries support Serbia. And if you veto Serbia, we will start blocking you. And believe me, we will take more with our side. Educate yourself about the sub-coalitions within the EU, like the one between the UK and the South and how they "play" together. Germany cannot support you in everything. Germany is just one country, one vote. You veto Serbs, we block your way.

Moreover, it is absolutely outrageous that, after so many years in prison, he has not been sentenced yett. I remember that a person is innocent until a court had not convicted him. So today, Seselj should be protected by the presumption of innocence.

At the end even, at least in theory, the sentence could be 'not guilty'. I'd rather not comment on who would be responsible to pay compensation in that case. A primary feature that must have justice to be worthy of the name is the immediacy or repair within a reasonable time and in the Seselj case it is being violated this principle in a rude manner. So, in my opinion, Seselj should return as appropriate to The Hague and this Court should do its job at once, because we are all paying all those judges and prosecutors.

The man had surgery in 2013 for a cancerous tumor with resulting colon resection. They were aware, at that time, that he had lymph node involvement or metastasis. I know of no recent surgery.

About conspiracy theories I can not comment very much. I think we can only speculate about that. But I do remember that one of the reasons for the establishment of the International Court in The Hague was precisely that there were no guarantees that real justice were to be given in if processes for war crimes in the former Yugoslavia were held in countries which alleged criminals were nationals.

Today, in Kosovo, a tutored and mentored country by The United States and Germany, which are the countries who lead the new Kosovar democracy, the processes that are pending open to members of the Kosovo political elite for crimes committed against Serb prisoners (Williamson dixit), there will not be held in Kosovo but probably in Holland. And EULEX and the judicial system in that country have not proceeded against any of the potential identified in the Williamson Report until, after years of research, they have been forced in some way by the findings of the Williamson Report.and the international pressure.

"Tried" is a past tense word, his trial is still ongoing. He has been given temporary leave on medical grounds to seek treatment as he has metastatic cancer and recently had a colon tumour removed.

But you must understand what veto means and how it is used. If the ICH says that a Serb is not found guilty or that he can return to Serbia due to health issues, you cannot veto. And have in mind, that 5 EU countries support Serbia. And if you veto Serbia, we will start blocking you. And believe me, we will take more with our side. About Kosovo's non recognition of Northern Cyprus.
(a) It doesn't really matter if you recognize it, because Kosovo is not internationally recognized, so there is no problem for Greece if you do.
(b) The only country on the planet that recognizes Northern Cyprus is Turkey. it's been like that since 1974. So it would look weird if you recognized it yourself.
(c) Albania and Albanians don't have friends. They have allies. Allies come and go. Your non-recognition of Northern Cyprus relies on political and diplomatic grounds, it's not because you respect how Greeks feel. How do you know how Greeks feel? When was the last time you met a Greek from Cyprus? And this is what you fail to understand: Allies come and go. But friends stay. Serbia has friends, not allies. I have at least, do not know the exact number, but hundreds of Greek friends, some live in Prishtine, some live in Gracanica, some of them in Tirana, some of them are diplomatic people here in Kosovo, and others in Greece. I have talked to them a lot about this issue. Also there is a thing in Kosovo. ISIS and other organization recruited many people from here to fight in Syria and Iraq. It came from the economical damages that it had impacted the Kosovar society. War damaged us a lot. The independence, if you consider it politically, you can realise that it was un-negotiated, and for sure it would bring peace, as it brought. Trust me, you live in Netherlands, I can leave you my contact number or email, come to Kosovo and you can see that, nothing that is reported in media happens in Kosovo. No s#!t, any one could have told you that years ago. Why you are only finding out about it now is news to me. Except one thing, Serbia can wilfully support the amputation of its territory or not, it will never in a million years reach EU membership. That is closed not only for Serbia, but for the rest of the region. Kosovo-Metohija or not, South Stream or not, there is no EU for Serbia.

Firstly because there is an overwhelming consensus among the unelected central commission in Brussels that the EU is suffering too greatly internally to be able to allow in more members any time soon. This means for at least another decade, you can forget about any new members. Most likely, the UK will leave before anyone else joins. And lastly, as we have seen, there exists massive anti-Serbian within the EUSSR.

Mind you, among ordinary Western Europeans and Americans, they could really care less about the Balkans all together. Probably 95% of all of them do not have a strong opinion one way or another. Take Milan Martic for example. He has been tried and sentenced by the ICTY. Once he serves his 30 year sentence an arrest warrant will be issued by the Croatian authorities. Martic will not even be able to step off prison grounds as the handcuffs will be waiting. He will be flown to ZG to be tried once again for crimes against humanity. There may well be other warrants from local municipalities / courts that want to place Martic before the courts.......Even though they would look like fools if they did, but Serbia if it wanted to..it could slap an arrest warrant on Gotovina. Well that is the problem. The topic is a sick old dying man who proved his innocence in a highly anti-Serbian court for over 11 years. I don't think he can progress Serbia forward, but the Hague had over a decade to convict him of something and could not.

"Tried" is a past tense word, his trial is still ongoing. He has been given temporary leave on medical grounds to seek treatment as he has metastatic cancer and recently had a colon tumour removed.

If you do that, it is the Serbs who will make you crawl to the International Court in the Hague for violation of the veto use. I don't know how old you are, probably young. About conspiracy theories I can not comment very much. I think we can only speculate about that. But I do remember that one of the reasons for the establishment of the International Court in The Hague was precisely that there were no guarantees that real justice were to be given in if processes for war crimes in the former Yugoslavia were held in countries which alleged criminals were nationals.

Today, in Kosovo, a tutored and mentored country by The United States and Germany, which are the countries who lead the new Kosovar democracy, the processes that are pending open to members of the Kosovo political elite for crimes committed against Serb prisoners (Williamson dixit), there will not be held in Kosovo but probably in Holland. And EULEX and the judicial system in that country have not proceeded against any of the potential identified in the Williamson Report until, after years of research, they have been forced in some way by the findings of the Williamson Report.and the international pressure.

Moreover, it is absolutely outrageous that, after so many years in prison, he has not been sentenced yett. I remember that a person is innocent until a court had not convicted him. So today, Seselj should be protected by the presumption of innocence.

At the end even, at least in theory, the sentence could be 'not guilty'. I'd rather not comment on who would be responsible to pay compensation in that case. A primary feature that must have justice to be worthy of the name is the immediacy or repair within a reasonable time and in the Seselj case it is being violated this principle in a rude manner. So, in my opinion, Seselj should return as appropriate to The Hague and this Court should do its job at once, because we are all paying all those judges and prosecutors.

I live in the Netherlands because of my job. It is impossible to live anywhere else on the planet, because of the job I'm doing. We are approximately 10.5 million Greeks who live in Greece and 1.5 million Greeks who live abroad. And have NO DOUBT: Any Greek in Greece, in the Netherlands, in North Pole or in New Zealand supports and love Serbia. I don't need to explain that to you, Serbs know what I'm talking about. You don't, because no one has ever felt like that for your country and no one ever will.

If Nikolic believes that the price to pay for EU membership is recognition of Kosovo and joining in with sanctions against Russia, neither of which he is prepared to countenance, then it surely follows that the country must withdraw its application for such membership. As it happens, the EU as a block has not said that recognition of Kosovo is a condition but each member has a veto and could threaten to use it unilaterally if Serbia does not comply with its wishes. Frankly, a sorry situation all round. If I were a Serb I would want my leader(s)to have a long hard think about continuing along the path to the EU.

(a) If Turkey has more oil reserves than Greece, then the question is very simple: Why Turkey doesn't drill it? And why Israel, Russia, China, the EU, the US and Egypt does not support Turkey on this and they support Israel, Greece, Cyprus and Egypt instead?

(b) Oil is a second rate product now. Greece has natural gas too. Google it.

What needs to be mentioned! I am not against Greeks. They are our neighbors. But what I want is the reality. Greece is facing a lot of problems, but their biggest problem is people like Andreas. They need to concentrate on how to build their economy, not how to isolate Turkey, because actually it is impossible, due to its geopolitical importance for NATO and US. But anyway Andreas, hope you find joy ABROAD for yourself and stupid propaganda rather than contributing for your own people.

Andreas, trust me, there is no beloved people in Balkans. Balkan is a place where all the mess happened during the history. I have at least, do not know the exact number, but hundreds of Greek friends, some live in Prishtine, some live in Gracanica, some of them in Tirana, some of them are diplomatic people here in Kosovo, and others in Greece. I have talked to them a lot about this issue. This is not that Serbs are your beloved ones, the religion makes you friendly, but not beloved ones, because also many Greeks love too much Albanians from South of Albania who are Orthodox. It is normal. But, as I don't want to mention their names, many of them also are pro Kosovo independence because actually it proves the existence of country of Republic of Cyprus. As I want to mention also a thing, Kosovo does not recognize North Cyprus as a country, which Kosovo respects Cyprus territorial integrity. You see, there is no hate for Greeks, also not for Serbs. I totally condemn things like Spraying Churches, and other stuff like that, because actually it violates people not the country. But, still, we need to concentrate on how to build our economies because now we are poor. Lets not talk about Turks, because actually they are in very good position in both sides.

Also there is a thing in Kosovo. ISIS and other organization recruited many people from here to fight in Syria and Iraq. It came from the economical damages that it had impacted the Kosovar society. War damaged us a lot. The independence, if you consider it politically, you can realise that it was un-negotiated, and for sure it would bring peace, as it brought. Trust me, you live in Netherlands, I can leave you my contact number or email, come to Kosovo and you can see that, nothing that is reported in media happens in Kosovo. No one provokes, even if you take the Serbian flag, and come inside the center of Prishtina, no one would care. The only thing that is happening in our countries is the damages that politicians are bringing to our countries. Thats why, I am pro German intervening, to stop corruption, and also to bring countries together to work for different projects to bring economies on their tracks. I am happy that I heard that Trans-Anatolian (Trans-Adriatic on Eu Side) Pipeline will cross from Greece to Albania, but actually I dont like that Kosovo, Serbia and others are excluded from this pipeline which goes directly to Italy. I mean there are several issues that we need to debate rather than discussing about propaganda that our media serves. Do not forget that also media has to be financed for somewhere, they do not work for free, or they do not take finances from advertisements. I work in an advertising agency and I know that. Balkans is a problematic area, but Greeks ADORE Serbs. You think our feelings for them rely on our religion? People from Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Russia, Bulgaria are Orthodox too, but you'll never hear a Greek expressing as warm emotions as we do for Serbs. The Serbian-Greek relationship is beyond religion. If God asks Greeks to stop caring about Serbs, Greeks will become atheists. This relationship between the two nations has put our governments in a difficult spot in the past. See, when Greeks sense that the Greek government does not support Serbia enough, Greeks react in a very bad way, in order to send our government a message, a message that says "either help Serbia now, or your political career is over". It's not the media, it's not any propaganda, it's not the Church that promotes this relationship. It's the people. By the way, I was born and raised in Greece, I came to Holland only because of my profession. When I say that Greeks support Serbs, I know exactly what I'm talking about. If you met Greeks in Pristina who don't support Serbs, that's because they are scared. If you met Greeks of Greece loving Orthodox Albanians in Southern Albania, that's only because those Albanians have Greek origins. My father was with a humanitarian aid 4 times in Serbia in 1999, I was at college back then and I went with students and Professors in Serbia in 1999, our Red Cross, doctors, nurses, journalists, even singers were there. We have our own opinion.

About Kosovo's non recognition of Northern Cyprus.
(a) It doesn't really matter if you recognize it, because Kosovo is not internationally recognized, so there is no problem for Greece if you do.
(b) The only country on the planet that recognizes Northern Cyprus is Turkey. it's been like that since 1974. So it would look weird if you recognized it yourself.
(c) Albania and Albanians don't have friends. They have allies. Allies come and go. Your non-recognition of Northern Cyprus relies on political and diplomatic grounds, it's not because you respect how Greeks feel. How do you know how Greeks feel? When was the last time you met a Greek from Cyprus? And this is what you fail to understand: Allies come and go. But friends stay. Serbia has friends, not allies. It doesn't have many friends, but it has eternal friends. No country, and especially Russia and to a lesser extend Greece, can be week for ever. When those eternal friends become stronger, they always remember Serbia. One day your current "allies" will not find you useful anymore. When that day comes, you will appreciate more the friendships between nations rather than the political games and allies between governments.

Ok, Greece is not the country that isolated Turkey. Do you know that Greece was the ONLY country to actually support Turkey's candidacy in the EU? Do you know that we were the only country that refused to show racist pictures in our media (as opposed to ALL the western countries that totally humiliated Turkish when they asked to be considered as candidates in the EU the previous decade)? We didn't isolate Turkey, Turkey isolated itself. And the west liked that. And now that Israel sided with Greece, things got way worse for Turkey. But our target is not to isolate Turkey, we have gas and oil in WESTERN and SOUTHERN Greece. And we will drill it. It's really simple.

About the Greek economy, you are right in what you say, but Greece is officially on the growth rate track (it was announced by the EU I think 2 weeks ago, I cans end you links). And drilling oil and gas is something that will most certainly help the Greek economy. Just the gas in Crete, in only one single island, is worth double the Greek debt. Let alone the gas in the western side and the oil reserves.

Now about the relationship between Albania and Greece...you hurt our beloved ones. If you do that, there can be no good relationship between us.
