There was never a mass expulsion of Albanians like the grossly exaggerated "2 million" that Western mainstream media used in their soundbytes during the 90s. There have never even been that many people total living in Kosovo-Metohija.

But you're right about one thing, the UCK is a joke of a guerilla army. Before the strongest military alliance acted as their airforce, their insurgency was ripped to pieces and embarrassed by the Serbian police. Not even the actual military units were required until NATO started with their bombardment. Ask Adem Jashiri.

And ask Albanian separatist militia's how things went when they launched attacks on central Serbia and Macedonia where they had 0 support from NATO. More recently, ask them about 2011 when they invaded northern Mitrovica in an overnight ambush and were sent retreating over the bridge. Today, they must be escorted by NATO back and forth from the administrative line with the rest of Serbia and back over the Ibar river. Mind you, this was just ordinary citizens of northern Mitrovica that successfully defended their communities while even the Serbian government was telling them to stand down.

It's the same sick sort of people who welcome Seslj in Serbia, who welcomed Haradinaj in Kosovo and who welcomed Gotovina in Croatia.

I can't say that the world hates Serbs but I'm pretty sure most Albanians don't hate moderate Serbs. Just because someone is born into a Serbian family doesn't make them evil. Like Martin Luther King said, one should be judged by their character.

According to whom? Regardless of what you think of his politics, it is clear that the ICTY was an international experiment to put away as many Serbs as possible on newly created (thought) crimes. This was only possible because of the West's untrammled power in the 1990s and 2000s.

If someone is guilty of war crimes, and it doesn't matter who they are an no favors should be bestowed (sic 'politicians' in Kosovo, Bosnian Moslems and Croats), then it really shouldn't take years to find the evidence and put them away.

The ICTY has been a political tool from the beginning, the middle and now, at the end. It has done more damage to the reputation of nascent 'international law' than any other institution, which is why the International Criminal Court is NOT based on the ICTY. For the rest of the world, it saw how partial justice was used and Western favorties protected by one set of powerful interests.

There is only one good thing to say about it all, it is all there in black and white, who said what and when, something quite divergent from what the media and the politicians have been saying for years. The transcripts are final damning evidence against the ICTY, bastard creation that it is.

I feel sorry for you guys, but it seems that you deserve him. I am sure that his presence in the Serbian politics (or even in the government some day), Serbia can look forward to its Glorious Days. It i s a pity, Milosevic is dead becouse you deserve him even more.

Bosnia and Kosovo were short wars people in the US remember very little about them, probably the only name most know is Milosevic and most would say he was an evil man. And the one event most know anything about is Srebrenica. But most that know anything about the wars know Serbia as the aggressors and responsible for most war crimes.

But I do find it ironic that the one judge who was against his release without conditions was the replacement judge whose decision is the pivot point toward conviction or not. That is with the assumption that the two remaining jurists were not in sync with their choice of guilty or not guilty. If they were then his opinion is actually of no consequence as the final determination would be by 2 out of 3 not necessarily 3 out of 3.

If he is able to destabilize Serbia which is actually doubtful, it would serve as a final justice to the victims of the 90's who have never received any apology from Serbia.

It’s very symbolic that Šešelj was released not during Tadic but when Serbia obtained a more or less national minded government. Seselj is not generally admired by most Serbs, but rather reviled. We know he is a viscous war criminal that will get his comeuppance someday.

Šešelj today described them as politicians who renounced the ideology of Serb nationalism, becoming instead "servants of western powers."

While Šešelj himself didn't do that, and still advocates the idology or Serbian nationalism and fascism, i.e. the ideology with a big leader, no freedom, suppressed opposition and eliminating everything and anyone who is not 'Serbian' in the eyes of those extremists.

According to whom? Regardless of what you think of his politics, it is clear that the ICTY was an international experiment to put away as many Serbs as possible on newly created (thought) crimes. This was only possible because of the West's untrammled power in the 1990s and 2000s.

If someone is guilty of war crimes, and it doesn't matter who they are an no favors should be bestowed (sic 'politicians' in Kosovo, Bosnian Moslems and Croats), then it really shouldn't take years to find the evidence and put them away.

The ICTY has been a political tool from the beginning, the middle and now, at the end. It has done more damage to the reputation of nascent 'international law' than any other institution, which is why the International Criminal Court is NOT based on the ICTY. For the rest of the world, it saw how partial justice was used and Western favorties protected by one set of powerful interests.

There is only one good thing to say about it all, it is all there in black and white, who said what and when, something quite divergent from what the media and the politicians have been saying for years. The transcripts are final damning evidence against the ICTY, bastard creation that it is.

He does not appear very ill. And he looks well fed.
But I do find it ironic that the one judge who was against his release without conditions was the replacement judge whose decision is the pivot point toward conviction or not. That is with the assumption that the two remaining jurists were not in sync with their choice of guilty or not guilty. If they were then his opinion is actually of no consequence as the final determination would be by 2 out of 3 not necessarily 3 out of 3.

If he is able to destabilize Serbia which is actually doubtful, it would serve as a final justice to the victims of the 90's who have never received any apology from Serbia.

This way NATO and UCK can finish them off once and for all.

There was never a mass expulsion of Albanians like the grossly exaggerated "2 million" that Western mainstream media used in their soundbytes during the 90s. There have never even been that many people total living in Kosovo-Metohija.

But you're right about one thing, the UCK is a joke of a guerilla army. Before the strongest military alliance acted as their airforce, their insurgency was ripped to pieces and embarrassed by the Serbian police. Not even the actual military units were required until NATO started with their bombardment. Ask Adem Jashiri.

And ask Albanian separatist militia's how things went when they launched attacks on central Serbia and Macedonia where they had 0 support from NATO. More recently, ask them about 2011 when they invaded northern Mitrovica in an overnight ambush and were sent retreating over the bridge. Today, they must be escorted by NATO back and forth from the administrative line with the rest of Serbia and back over the Ibar river. Mind you, this was just ordinary citizens of northern Mitrovica that successfully defended their communities while even the Serbian government was telling them to stand down.

I can't say that the world hates Serbs but I'm pretty sure most Albanians don't hate moderate Serbs. Just because someone is born into a Serbian family doesn't make them evil. Like Martin Luther King said, one should be judged by their character.

However, Serbs have a bad name worldwide because moderate Serbs are silent and cancerous Serbs like chetnicks are preaching hate, violence, etc and no one stands up to them. This is the image of Serbia and only Serbs can fix it.

Don't expect anything from anyone else. Mistakes have to be acknowledged and apologies need to start flowing before progress can me made.

Bosnia and Kosovo were short wars people in the US remember very little about them, probably the only name most know is Milosevic and most would say he was an evil man. And the one event most know anything about is Srebrenica. But most that know anything about the wars know Serbia as the aggressors and responsible for most war crimes.

Since WWII until the war, the Albanian population in Kosovo-Metohija has NEVER went down. Not for one year, not for one week. There are no specific dates you can confirm to me where Albanians suffered any mass expulsion.

In fact, the era in which Albanians are leaving Kosovo-Metohija the most is right now... leaving to live in the West. Go figure.

Your posting is both sad and comical at the same time. You start off with you don't understand Albanian comments portraying Serbs in a bad way. Then you immediately go into this hate rampage against Albanians threatening of a "day of reckoning" that no one can save them from.
What is comical is that if you could actually set yourself apart and read your comment you could see the reason for the Albanian attitude.
You see yourself as a superior strain of human being, which is actually the root of the scourge of Milosevic, he felt it was Serbs place to be master over the others as if they were somehow an elite race.
The other thing humorous is "NATO which trembles at the mention of Russia" NATO countries are cautious with their dealings with Putin, no one really knows if he may at some point turn rogue and initiate WW3. No one wants that but no one is "trembling". They are treating like a snake where they are aggressive to a point wanting him to slither away, but not aggressive enough to back him into a hopeless corner making him strike.
Don't mistake caution for fear. There will be NO victors in a nuclear holocaust. There is no way for Russia to strike the US fast enough to prevent the launch of counter weapons. Destruction on both fronts will be extensive and completely destroy both super powers. If China were smart they would remain out of it and then just assume control.

It’s very symbolic that Šešelj was released not during Tadic but when Serbia obtained a more or less national minded government. I like this man but I also suppose that for the time being national unity is more important than any person. So much will depend on how Toma and Voislav will feel their responsibility. Will they put it above their private feelings and interests or will they help Serbia’s open and hidden rivals to destabilize this country that Serbia cannot afford.
