Really? This is absurd. So far I thought the constitution gives the party with the most votes the right as FIRST to try to form a government, and if they cannot secure a majority, the other parties can try to form coalition.
(Comm. Parrisson, 5 November 2014 14:22)

I agree with you,but this is not in the Constitution.
I am pretty sure that they will amend the Constitution, but right now Thaci has the right to form the gonverment but he doesnt have the numbers.
It may be a coalition PDK-LDK+ minorities which will have absolute majority, and the election will be avoided.

There si nothing strange Comm.
The election system doesnt give any party a majority, so they need to do a coalition.
PD of Thaci is at 37%,LDK at 30% and so on.
So none of the has the numbers.
The Kosovo constitution goves the firts party the right to form the gonverment otherwise they will go to election.
LDK,Haradinaj,Krasniqi+Kurti have 63 ,more than 50%,but they are not the first party.
The constitution will be amended after this election to avoid this deadlock happen in the future.
Until than, they either will accept PDK in equation or go to new election which nobody likes to do so.

Personally I like a LDK+PDK coalition, with Thaci out, bacause they will have enough numbers to make hard decisions.
I think this is going to happened in the end.

"The article claims that the LDK's ambitions increased "after some influential western states made it clear that Haradinaj does have their support."

Why? An alleged war criminal set free because eh silenced the witnesses would be a perfect successor for a former terrorist and mafia boss.

The EU wants Priština to form institutions so it can make "significant decisions" - establish a special court for KLA crimes and continue the dialogue with Belgrade, "so it is believed that a coalition of the two strongest parties will be the best solution."

Yes, Thaci will surely support that special court investigating in crimes committed by his clan mates.

This Kosovo is an absurd theater.
