Minister wants Traffic Safety Law changed

Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović says he will launch an initiative to change the law in order to increase the number of cameras and thus traffic safety.

First fix the roads by addressing, sink-holes, potholes, lighting and by replacing those really anoying speed bumbs with proper speed mounts, which do the same job but are easier on the suspension of ones car.
Then if you have money left over spend it on cameras but do so to improve traffic safety and not to just penalise drivers.

Oh no is there to be no respite from this big-bro CCTV culture that does nothing to improve road safety but does hit drivers in the pocket often unfairly. The best way to encourage good driving practice is to start in schools before the kids are old enough to get behind the wheel. As for existing drivers advertising regularly the dangers of Rambo style overtaking and the consequences of disregarding road signage would be far better than cameras. This money would be far better spent modernising the road infrastructure which is in serious need of updating.
